About paella catering in Windsor and Maidenhead
One cooking area feeds a lot of people, very little goes to waste, and the food is served hot. That’s why it works for so many events. Typical bookings include anniversaries and engagement parties and fairs, fêtes and festivals, with black rice, vegan paella and seafood paella.
Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving.
- First, tell us about your event.
- You get a menu and an itemised quote.
- Timings, access and the cooking area are agreed in advance.
- On the day, we set up and cook in front of your guests.
- It is served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.

Live paella across Windsor and Maidenhead: what to know
Windsor and Maidenhead covers everything from Maidenhead, Windsor and Boyn Hill to 42 small villages and hamlets, and live paella works in all of them. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access.
Maidenhead: For guests coming by train, Maidenhead station is about 0.5 miles away. School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as Claires Court Schools, can book us as a food stall. In Maidenhead, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
Planners, venues and businesses
For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.
Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.
Why live cooking beats a buffet
Plated meals need a kitchen and a bigger team. Live paella needs a level, ventilated spot and the venue’s permission to cook, and gives guests something to watch.

The menu, dish by dish
Seafood paella
Prawns, mussels and squid in a rich fish stock, finished with lemon wedges. It’s the pan people photograph.
Paella Valenciana
Paella Valenciana is the original: chicken, beans and saffron, not seafood. It’s a favourite with guests who do not eat fish.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.
Diets, allergies and planning
Most events have a mix of diets. To cater well for them:
- Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
- Confirm allergies by email
- Have seats for most of your guests
- Ask about diets and allergies on your invitation or RSVP
You shouldn’t have to worry about the food on the day. We arrive in good time, set up, cook and serve, and keep in touch with you or your venue about timings.

Windsor and Maidenhead questions
Is paella a full meal?
Yes. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Yes, and it’s a popular combination. Tapas go out first, then the paella.
Is the paella gluten-free?
We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we make a separate gluten-free pan.
Can you bring crockery?
If you need them, yes. Proper crockery or quality disposables are available.
Do you cater for young children?
Children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan a pan with them in mind.
Are premium seafood options available?
We will suggest seafood to suit your menu and budget. Premium options are available.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Yes, and meat eaters often go back for seconds. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.
