Why live cooking beats a buffet
Next to a hog roast or barbecue, paella makes vegetarian, vegan and halal guests easier to cater for, thanks to separate pans. Service from the pan keeps queues moving. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can be a feast.
What you get with us
- Events in Taplow and across Windsor and Maidenhead
- Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
- Waiting staff and crockery on request

Paella catering in Taplow, cooked live
Live paella catering means we bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients to your event and cook in front of your guests. When it is ready, it’s served straight from the pan. We cook paella Valenciana, seafood paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and we are regularly asked to cater weddings, from canapés to evening food and anniversary celebrations.
In a hamlet or village like Taplow, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a wonderful venue. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

Nearby historic houses include Cliveden (1.8 miles north) and Dorney Court (2.2 miles south-east). If your event is at a historic house or estate, check its rules on caterers and cooking early.

How it works
From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you are free to enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. Around midsummer it stays light in Taplow until about 9:25pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
- First, tell us about your event.
- We suggest paellas and extras and send a clear quote.
- Timings, access and the cooking area are agreed in advance.
- We cook live on the day while guests watch.
- It is served straight from the pan, and we clear our area afterwards.
How to prepare
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area
- Name one person we can ask on the day
- Plan cover in case of rain

Catering for every guest
We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:
- Have seats for most of your guests
- Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
- Ensure each pan is labelled
- Let us know about other food at the event
The rice takes about 20 minutes once it goes in, so we time it carefully. If timings shift, we adapt.
Tapas or canapés make a good start as the rice cooks.
Space, weather and the venue
No two venues are the same, so we ask about the space before we confirm. In general, we need:
- Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
- Parking close enough to carry equipment
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think.
What we offer
- Mixed paella
- Black rice (arroz negro)
- Vegetable paella
- Chicken & chorizo paella
- Seafood paella
- Vegan paella
- Paella Valenciana
Events we cater in Taplow
It needs no kitchen, so it works in gardens, fields and marquees where plated meals are hard.
We can help if you are planning any of the following:
- Festivals, fairs and school events
- Engagement and anniversary parties
- Weddings, from canapés to evening food
- Leaving dos and retirements
If you’re organising a summer fair for a school like St Nicolas' Church of England Combined School, a paella stall is a crowd-pleaser.

- The venue requirements
- VAT, if it applies
- How bad weather is handled
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.
For event organisers in Taplow
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.
For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.
Taplow questions
Can you cook in Braywick Park?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.
Is Taplow too small for live paella?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.
Can you do sangria?
Sangria can be added, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.
What is live paella catering?
We bring everything needed to cook on site, cook while everyone watches, and serve when you’re ready to eat.
How much does paella catering cost in Taplow?
We quote for each event, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.
What if the weather’s bad?
We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.
Is the paella gluten-free?
A gluten-free pan is no problem. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.
Do you do desserts?
Yes. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.
