How it works
How live paella catering works
From your first message to the last spoonful.
Step by step
- Tell us about your event. The date, the venue or address, roughly how many guests, the kind of event and any dietary needs.
- We suggest a menu and send a quote. Paellas, plus any tapas, desserts, drinks, staff and crockery you want, with what’s included spelled out.
- We plan the day. We agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you or your venue, and check the space, access and parking.
- We cook in front of your guests. We set up, start the sofrito and stock, add the rice and let it cook. It takes about 20 minutes once the rice goes in, and your guests are welcome to watch.
- We serve and clear away. Paella is served straight from the pan. When service is finished, we pack down our cooking area.
What the venue needs
- A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table
- Outdoors, or a marquee or well-ventilated covered area
- Clearance from fences, hedges, overhanging branches and anything flammable
- The venue’s permission for live cooking
- Somewhere close to unload
Tell us about the space when you get in touch. If you’re not sure, send a photo.

Good to know
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can. Summer Saturdays book up first. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.
How much space do you need?
Enough for the pans, burners and a serving table on level ground, plus a safe distance from fences, hedges and branches. Small gardens often work; send us a photo.
Can you cook if it rains?
Yes, under cover: a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We’ll agree a plan with you beforehand.
How long are you on site?
It depends on the menu and numbers. We arrive in good time to set up, cook, serve and clear our area, and we’ll agree the timings with you.
