Wedding paella catering in Three Mills, made fresh on the day

Paella as evening food is popular: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. We are frequently asked to cater rustic barn weddings and spanish-themed and destination-style weddings, with a paella wedding breakfast, table tapas and Spanish desserts.

Couples in Three Mills often marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Live paella works well at both, as long as there is a ventilated spot to cook. In London, parking and loading need planning early. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

Diets, allergies and planning

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Decide whether guests queue at the pans or are served at the tables
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Tell us about suppliers who need feeding
  • Share your running order, including speeches

After service, we pack down our cooking area; any staff stay as long as agreed.

Table tapas make a sociable starter.

Common questions in Three Mills

Could we have live paella in Bob's Park?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

We are having a ceremony at St Mary's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Will there be enough food?

We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

Which areas do you serve?

London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight, including Three Mills.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

Can you cook in the rain?

We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.

Can you cook indoors?

Generally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, because we use gas burners. We will check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, while the rice is cooking.

How the day works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you’re free to enjoy your wedding. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. In Three Mills, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.

Getting ready for the day

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Make sure we can park close by to unload

What affects the price in Three Mills

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Timings and hours
  • Your choice of paellas
  • Starters, canapés and desserts

Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

Getting an accurate quote

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Try to include:

  • Where the event is
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • A picture of where we’d cook

Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. To ask for one, use our quote form.

Paella compared with other options

Food vans can create long queues. Paella pans serve many guests quickly. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Why us?

  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu

Take a look at How we price And Our guide to catering costs.

Before you choose a spot

If a space isn’t suitable, we will tell you, and suggest an alternative. The main points are:

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Parking close enough to carry equipment

As a London location, Three Mills is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
