Before you choose a spot

  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

As a London location, Shoreditch is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Shoreditch

Is parking a problem for events in Shoreditch?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We’ll plan unloading around it.

We are having a ceremony at St Leonard's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in its own pan.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Only in a suitable, well-ventilated area with the venue’s permission. Courtyards, doorways and terraces often work.

Do you cater in Shoreditch?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Shoreditch is within our area and the rest of Greater London. To check your date, use our quote form.

Can you bring crockery?

Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

Do you cook it at the event?

Yes. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.

How many different paellas?

Two or three is usual: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll suggest a split based on your guests.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

What happens on the day

We work to your timings. If things run behind, we hold the paella at the right stage so it’s served at its best. In Shoreditch, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:05pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.
