Paella catering in E3: what to expect
One cooking area feeds plenty of people, very little goes to waste, and the food is served hot. That is why it works for so many events. Typical bookings include family celebrations and christenings and birthday celebrations, with paella Valenciana, seafood paella and vegan paella.
The cooking is part of the entertainment. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook.
- Send us your date, numbers and venue.
- We plan the menu with you, including every diet.
- We arrive in good time to set up.
- The paella cooks as guests gather round.
- Service is straight from the pan, then we pack down.

Paella catering in E3: local guide
From Stratford, Hackney and Bethnal Green to 0 villages and hamlets, events across E3 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and live paella suits every kind of setting. In towns, plan parking and access; in villages, tell us about lanes and ground.
Mile End: For a christening or wedding at a church such as Holy Trinity Church, a paella lunch or reception nearby is an easy way to feed everyone. If you are organising a summer fair for a school like Beatrice Tate School, a paella stall is a crowd-pleaser. Evenings in Mile End stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; after dark, the cooking and serving areas need good lighting.
Paella compared with other options
Vans serve one order at a time. A paella pan serves many portions quickly, which suits weddings and parties where everyone eats together.

Catering for every guest
A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Try these:
- Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
- Tell us how many children are coming
- Tell us about coeliac guests specifically
- Choose two or three paellas so every guest has a choice
After service, we pack down our cooking area, quietly and quickly.
We can add sangria and bar staff for your own drinks.
What we need at the venue
Every venue is different, so we ask about the space when you contact us. In general, we need:
- Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
Working with your venue
If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.
Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.
What’s in the pans
Paella Valenciana
Valencians take their paella seriously. The traditional pan has chicken, flat green beans and butter beans, and it’s a crowd-pleaser.
Black rice
Squid ink rice is bold and savoury.
