Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Kilburn

We can cater your whole wedding day or one part of it: canapés, a tapas starter, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and dessert. On the menu are table tapas, Spanish desserts and a paella wedding breakfast, and we are frequently booked for informal wedding breakfasts and food for evening guests.

For a wedding in Kilburn, think about how guests travel between ceremony and reception. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, so it’s ready when they arrive. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it’s hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

Our caterer checklist

Paella compared with other options

Plated wedding meals need a kitchen and more staff. Paella needs a level, ventilated spot and permission, and feels more relaxed. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

Why us?

  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • No hidden extras in your quote
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment

Kilburn: your questions answered

What about parking in Kilburn?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We’ll work around it.

Could we have live paella in Queen’s Park?

Only if the landowner, normally the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.

What if the weather’s bad?

We need a covered spot, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

With the right presentation, it feels special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.

Can we try the food first?

Mention a tasting in your enquiry, and we’ll explain how it works.

Can you do our whole wedding menu?

We can cater as much or as little of the day as you like, from the drinks reception to the evening.

Can you cook halal paella?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it’s cooked separately.

When should we book?

Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it is soon.

Step by step

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your wedding. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. Golden-hour photos in Kilburn at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. We check availability for your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. The pans cook while guests enjoy the drinks.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Before we arrive

  • Give us a contact for the day
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

What affects the price in Kilburn

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • How many guests are eating

Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we are available that day.

Diets, allergies and planning

With a little notice, every diet is easy. We suggest:

  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator
  • Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
  • Choose pan-side or table service

The pans are often set up where guests can see them, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.

Crockery, cutlery and waiting staff are available.

Planning the cooking area

Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so we need a suitable spot. Here’s what we look for:

  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Somewhere close to park and unload

Kilburn is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise.
