Wedding paella catering for East Village events

Wedding paella catering in East Village, cooked live

We can cater your whole wedding day or one part of it: canapé tapas with the drinks, table tapas, paella for the wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts. Typical bookings include weddings with a Spanish theme and civil partnerships and vow renewals, with canapé tapas, evening paella and table tapas.

Couples in East Village often marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Live paella works well at both, as long as there’s a ventilated spot to cook. In London, parking and loading need planning early. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, never made in advance and reheated, and served the moment it is ready.

East Village: your questions answered

We’re having a ceremony at St Eleutherius: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

Could we have live paella in Mabley Green?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

Can you do sangria?

Yes, sangria. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

What areas do you cover?

We cover London and the South East, Greater London included. See all areas.

Do you offer halal options?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.

What about supplier meals?

Yes, include them in your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

What about pudding?

Yes, Spanish desserts can be added. Let us know if you’d like one in your enquiry.

Who books wedding paella catering in East Village?

It is a natural fit for barns, marquees and gardens, where a plated meal can be hard to pull off.

Live paella works for big and small events alike. Typical bookings include:

  • Weddings with a Spanish theme
  • Weddings in a marquee or garden
  • Evening food for extra guests
  • Vow renewals and civil ceremonies

For outdoor photos, Old Ford Island is close by, and the countryside around East Village suits an outdoor reception.

Before you book anyone

  • What happens if it rains
  • When final numbers are due
  • Whether VAT is included
  • How long the team stays

Choosing a paella caterer

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.

Working with your venue

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in East Village? Paella is quick to serve to a crowd and suits most diets. Tell us about the event and we’ll suggest a menu.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

What affects the price in East Village

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • How many courses
  • Your choice of paellas
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • Distance and access to the venue

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

Details that help

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Where the event is

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote.

Paella compared with other options

Live paella is less formal than a plated meal, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Why East Village hosts choose us

  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Every diet catered for, pan by pan
  • A quote that spells everything out

The process

It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. In East Village, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. We check availability for your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Getting ready for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather

Planning help

Diets, allergies and planning

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because every paella has its own pan. A few tips:

  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Pick a serving style
  • Tell us how many evening guests to expect

The pans are frequently set up where guests can see them, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.
