Wedding paella catering in Maryland, cooked live
We can cater your whole wedding day or one part of it: canapés, a tapas starter, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and dessert. Popular choices include evening paella, table tapas and Spanish desserts, and we’re often booked for weddings with mixed diets and blessings and vow renewals.
London weddings around Maryland frequently mean a ceremony at a church or register office, then a reception at a hired venue or a family garden. Paella suits either, given a ventilated cooking spot. In London, parking and loading need planning early. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.

Getting married in Maryland?
Maryland is about 3 miles south of Walthamstow, in Greater London. Tell us where your wedding in Maryland will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up before the day. Maryland is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London where we cook.
If you are marrying at a church near Maryland, such as Church of St John the Evangelist, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: we can be cooking during the photos, so the meal is ready when you arrive. Nearby historic houses include Sutton House (2.1 miles west) and Valentines Mansion (3.6 miles north-east). If your reception is at a historic house or estate, ask early about its rules on caterers and live cooking.

Why live cooking beats a buffet
Plated wedding meals need a kitchen and more staff. Paella needs a level, ventilated spot and permission, and suits a relaxed style. Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.
Why us?
- Hot food served quickly from the pan
- Sangria and bar staff available
- Catering across Greater London, including Maryland
- Food that becomes part of the entertainment

What’s in the pans
Paella wedding breakfast
The main event: paellas for every diet, served straight from the pan.
Evening paella
Evening paella is hot, filling and fun, especially after a few hours on the dance floor.
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.
Why choose wedding paella catering in Maryland?
Couples choose paella because it feels relaxed and generous, and because guests remember it.
Live paella suits almost any gathering. People in Maryland book us for occasions like:
- Evening wedding food
- Civil partnerships and vow renewals
- Informal wedding breakfasts
- Wedding receptions after a small ceremony
Put the station on your invitation: Stratford (London) station is in Maryland itself.
What to look for in a quote
- How many staff are coming, and for how long
- Whether crockery, cutlery and napkins are included
- When final numbers are due
- How each diet is kept separate
What affects the price in Maryland
Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:
- Plates, cutlery and glassware
- How long we are needed on site
- How many staff you need
- The paellas you choose
Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. Your quote spells it all out.
What to tell us
The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Please include:
- Anything your venue supplies
- Any dietary needs and allergies
- The address or venue name
- The date and time of the event
Not sure what you need yet? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll suggest a menu. To start, fill in our quote form.
The process
We work to your timings. If things run behind, we adjust the cooking so it’s served at its best. In Maryland, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:05pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.
- You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
- Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
- We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.
Getting ready for the day
- Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
- Plan cover in case of rain
- Give us a contact for the day

Dietary needs and planning tips
Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:
- Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
- Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Enquire early for peak dates
Guests can queue at the pans, or staff can serve the tables, whichever suits your day.
Finish with Spanish desserts or your cake.
What we need at the venue
We will be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
- Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
- A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
As a London location, Maryland is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.
If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think before you book.

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Maryland
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St John the Evangelist?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.
Could we have live paella in West Ham Park?
Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we’ll send any information they need.
Is halal food available?
Yes, on request. Let us know your halal numbers, and we’ll cook a separate pan.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We pack down our cooking area after service. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Yes, children are easy to cater for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we’ll plan a pan with them in mind.
Do you cater for suppliers?
Yes. Add your suppliers to the final numbers.
Is the paella gluten-free?
We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we can plan it carefully.
What if the timings change?
We plan for it. We time the rice to the actual running order, so it is served at its best.
