How the day works
It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. Arrival and serving times are agreed beforehand, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. At midsummer, it is light in London until about 9:20pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:05pm; winter receptions, dark by 3:55pm, are better indoors.
- Send us the date, venue, numbers and serving style.
- You get a suggested selection and a price.
- On the day, we set up and prepare the hot tapas there.
- We serve canapés with drinks or set table tapas down to share.
- We pack down when service ends.
Before we arrive
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Check the venue allows live cooking
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot

London is in Greater London. Events in London are planned around your venue and timings: a clear quote, agreed timings and paella cooked live on the day. We cook in all 764 towns and villages in Greater London, from the larger towns to small villages.
Canapé tapas suit the drinks after a ceremony at a church like St George the Martyr. For guests coming by train, London has its own station, Elephant & Castle station.
Tapas catering in CR0, E14, CR4 and SW11 is planned around your venue and your guests. Local streets include Walcot Square, Surrey Square and Sutherland Square; an event at home on any of them works well with live paella. London sits on or near the A2 and A10, so getting the burners and pans to your event is simple. Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

London: your questions answered
We are having a ceremony at St George the Martyr: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
What’s the nearest station to London for guests?
Elephant & Castle station, in London itself.
Are the tapas fresh?
Hot tapas are finished on site.
How do you work out quantities?
We plan quantities from your guest numbers, timings and other courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.
Can you supply plates?
Yes, on request. Proper crockery or quality disposables are available.
Do you cater for young children?
Yes. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Of course. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.
Do you provide drinks?
Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.
Working with your venue
