Our paella catering in CR0
Keep it simple, or go all out: just paella, or paella with tapas, desserts and drinks. We’ll recommend what fits your event. On the menu are seafood paella, vegan paella and chicken and chorizo paella, and we’re frequently booked for anniversary celebrations and naming days and family parties.
We get there well before serving, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Your guests are welcome to watch while it cooks.
- It starts with your date, venue, numbers and any dietary needs.
- We put together a menu and a clear quote.
- On the day, we set up the burners and pans and get the stock going.
- Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
- We serve from the pan, then clear our cooking area away.
What you will pay
If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

Paella catering in CR0: local guide
CR0 covers everything from London, Croydon and Broad Green to 3 small villages and hamlets, and live paella suits every kind of setting. In towns, plan parking and access; in villages, tell us about lanes and ground.
London: Historic houses near London include Mansion House (1 mile north) and Dr Johnson's House (1.2 miles north-west). Historic venues frequently limit cooking, so ask early if you’re booking one. Thinking of a picnic-style party in Newington Gardens? Public parks usually need permission from the council or landowner for cooking, so check first. Evenings in London stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.
Planning the cooking area
We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:
- A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
- The venue’s permission for live cooking
- Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
What’s in the pans
Seafood paella
The secret is a well-made seafood stock. Shellfish goes in towards the end so it stays tender.
Vegetable and vegan paella
A vegetable paella is not an afterthought: artichokes, beans, peppers and saffron, cooked in its own pan.
Diets, allergies and planning
Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:
- Plan seating for most guests: paella is easiest eaten sitting down
- Give us separate numbers for children
- Request clear labels at the serving table
- Send allergies to us in writing
On the day, you shouldn’t have to think about the food. We set up, cook and serve, and stay in touch with your venue about timings.
Bread, salad and lemon go well alongside.
Occasions we cook for in CR0
It needs no kitchen, so it works in gardens, fields and marquees where other catering struggles.

- Staff parties and work lunches

- Naming days and family parties
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and do not stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
Questions from CR0
How does live paella catering work?
We bring everything needed to cook on site, cook while everyone watches, and serve when you are ready to eat.
What happens if it rains?
We need a covered spot, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We’ll agree a wet-weather plan with you.
When should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.
Do you cook inside?
Mostly outside or under an open cover, since the burners are gas. We will check whether your venue has a suitable space.
Can you feed plenty of people?
Very much so. We plan the number of pans and serving points around your numbers.
Which areas do you serve?
We cover London and the South East, Greater London included. Find your area.
Do you do starters?
Yes, it’s the classic pairing. Tapas first, paella to follow.
- Cooked live in giant pans at your event
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
- Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
- Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
