Eastfields is about 3 miles south-east of Wimbledon, in Greater London. Tell us where your event in Eastfields will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up. We cook in all 764 towns and villages across Greater London, from the larger towns to small villages. You can also see our page for London, about 7 miles away.

After a ceremony at a church such as St. Mark's Church, canapé tapas with the drinks keep guests happy during photos. Historic houses near Eastfields include Southside House (3.4 miles west) and Kingswood House (3.5 miles north-east). For a drinks reception at a historic venue, canapé tapas can work where live cooking isn’t allowed.

Eastfields questions

Could we have live paella in Figge's Marsh?

Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.

What about parking in Eastfields?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We will work around it.

How do you work out quantities?

We plan quantities around your timings and courses. Give us the details and we will advise.

Can you cook indoors?

Only in a suitable, well-ventilated area with the venue’s permission. Courtyards, doorways and terraces frequently work.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

A gluten-free pan is no problem. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

Can you cook in the rain?

We cook under cover, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We will agree a wet-weather plan with you.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, sangria. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

How much space do you need?

Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

How it works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. At midsummer, it’s light in Eastfields until about 9:20pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. By late September it’s dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm.

  1. We check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, table tapas or both.
  3. We set up on arrival.
  4. Hot and cold tapas are served.
  5. Afterwards, we clear up.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
  • Plan cover in case of rain

  • Tell us what role tapas play
  • Widen the selection for a tapas-only menu
  • Collect dietary needs
  • Canapés need staff to serve

Planning the cooking area

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • Table space for sharing dishes at seated meals
  • Parking near the venue
  • Venue approval for outside catering
