Paella party catering near The Village

How our paella party catering works in The Village

Birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and summer get-togethers all suit live paella. The cooking is the centrepiece, and everyone gets a hot, generous plate. We’re often asked to cater street and neighbourhood parties and wakes and memorial gatherings, serving vegetable paella, mixed paella and chicken and chorizo paella.

A country party near The Village is perfect for paella: cooked in the open and served hot. Plan a gazebo in case of rain. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

How the day works

Here’s how the day typically runs: we arrive, set up and start cooking, your guests watch the rice cook, and we serve straight from the pan at the agreed time. For a late-May party in The Village, sunset is around 8:55pm; at midsummer it is about 9:25pm. After dark, the cooking area needs good lighting.

  1. Send us the date, the address, numbers and diets.
  2. We suggest a menu and confirm a quote.
  3. On the day we arrive, set up our cooking area and start cooking.
  4. Your guests watch the paella cook, with tapas first if you’ve chosen them.
  5. We serve from the pan and clear our cooking area away when we are done.

Getting ready for the day

  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable

The Village questions

Which station should guests use for The Village?

Windsor & Eton Central station, about 3 miles north-east of the centre.

Do you come out to small places like The Village?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Can you do a kids’ option?

Yes. A simple chicken paella goes down well with children. Tell us how many children are coming.

Does it make plenty of smoke?

Gas cooking means steam and a good smell, not much smoke. The smell is typically the best advert for the party.

Can you set up in a small garden?

Many gardens work. We need a level spot, clearance from anything flammable and reasonable access. A photo helps.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we will include the rest in the quote.

Where do you cater?

We cover London and the South East, Windsor and Maidenhead included. Find your area.

Do you cater for young children?

Yes. Children often love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

Throwing a party at home? Send us a picture of the garden and tell us about access, and we’ll tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

It brings a bit of holiday feeling to a garden party.

  • A clear list of what’s included
  • The wet-weather plan

Choosing a paella caterer

Where we can cook in The Village

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We need:

  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
  • Send a picture of the garden so we can check
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we will say what we think.

Dishes our guests love

Chicken & chorizo paella

It’s one of the most popular pans at parties, though it is not traditional in Valencia.

Tapas

Patatas bravas, tortilla, croquetas and olives to start.

What paella party catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Guest numbers
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you can choose exactly what you need.

What we need to know

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Expected numbers
  • What the venue already provides
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote and a suggested menu.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We are happy to give you a quote to compare.

Parties in The Village: gardens, venues and local tips

The Village is about 2 miles south of Windsor, in Windsor and Maidenhead. Tell us where your party in The Village will be, and we’ll plan the journey and set-up before the day. We cater in all 57 towns and villages in Windsor and Maidenhead, from the larger towns to small villages. Our events stretch from The Village to Guildford (about 14 miles away).

For guests coming by train, Windsor & Eton Central station is about 3 miles away. Parks such as Windsor Great Park normally need permission for cooking, so a garden or hired venue is frequently easier.

If your venue is just outside The Village, we also cover Cranbourne (1 mile west), Woodside (1 mile south-west), Plaistow Green (2 miles west), Cheapside (2 miles south) and Brookside (2 miles south-west). Diets, allergies and planning

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:

  • Plan a covered spot for wet weather
  • Have enough chairs for most guests
  • Keep a clear zone around the cooking area
  • Have bins ready

When service is finished, we pack down quietly, so the party carries on.

Bread, salad and lemon wedges round off the meal.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
