Festival paella catering in Cyprus, cooked live

We bring the pans and burners and work to your site rules, including arrival and waste arrangements. We are frequently asked to cater festivals and community events and open days, serving giant-pan paella, vegan paella and seafood paella.

In Cyprus, a paella pan suits street parties and school fairs, as long as the road closure or site permission is in place. The paella is served straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it is ready.

Event catering near Cyprus

Cyprus is about 2 miles east of Canning Town, in Greater London. From the centre of Cyprus to the outskirts, festival paella catering works the same way: live cooking, separate pans for every diet and a clear price. Cyprus is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London we cover. We cook right across the region, from Cyprus to London (about 7 miles away).

For a church fête or fundraiser, at a church such as St Michael and All Angels Church, a paella stall adds a hot meal to the cakes and tombola. For visitors coming by rail, the nearest station is Woolwich station, about 1.3 miles south.

Anywhere in E6 and E16, we can bring festival paella catering to you. We can cater an event on streets such as Strait Road, Harper Road and Trader Road. We also cook at events in Beckton (1 mile north-east), North Woolwich (1 mile south), Royal Docks (1 mile west), East Ham (1 mile north) and Custom House (1 mile west). We also cook in nearby towns such as London (7 miles west), City of Westminster (9 miles west), Marylebone (9 miles west), Kensington (11 miles west), St Pancras (8 miles west) and Shoreditch (6 miles west).

Other landmarks nearby include Greenwich Castle (3.6 miles south-west) and North Woolwich Old Station Museum (0.7 miles south). Not far away are Gilbert's Pit.

  • Schools near Cyprus include London Design and Engineering UTC (under half a mile south-west) and Oasis Academy Silvertown (0.6 miles south)
  • Parks and local facilities nearby include East Ham (1.6 miles north)

How we price festival paella catering

There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:

  • Parking and unloading
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • How many courses

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

Details that help

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • The address or venue name
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • The courses you’d like

The quickest way to a quote is to send us your details through our quote form. Give us the details of your event, and we will put together a menu and price.

Is live paella right for your event?

Most street food is cooked one order at a time. Paella is batch-cooked and served fast, so queues move quickly. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll put together a menu that fits. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Why choose Love Paella in Cyprus

  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • A clear, itemised quote
  • Starters and desserts to complete the menu
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Schedule crew meals
  • Ask for allergen information at each stall
  • Ask about peak-time capacity
  • Make sure the line-up includes vegan and gluten-free options

Our pitch is kept tidy and safe throughout the day.

Churros and tapas can join the menu.

DIY paella versus live catering

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

Before you choose a spot

Before the day, we’ll agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Spacing from tents and other structures
  • A level pitch on firm ground
  • Details of power, water and waste arrangements

Cyprus is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

How the day works

On the day, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. Evening events in Cyprus have light until about 9:20pm at midsummer; after dark, we need a lit pitch.

  1. You send us the event, dates and pitch details.
  2. We confirm our menu, pitch needs and documents.
  3. We set up at the agreed time.
  4. The paella cooks in full view, and we serve from the pan through the event.
  5. At the end, we clear our pitch.

Preparing for the day

  • Let us know the timings for the day
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely

Cyprus: your questions answered

Can you run a stall at a school fair in Cyprus?

Yes, with the school’s permission. Send us the date, pitch and expected numbers.

What’s the nearest station to Cyprus for guests?

The closest is Woolwich station, roughly 1.3 miles away.

Can you cook in the rain?

Rain doesn’t stop us, as long as there’s a ventilated cover. We’ll talk it through before the day.

How far ahead should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so get in touch early.

What documents can you send?

Tell us what the event needs and we will send it with our application.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. We will recommend a mix based on diets.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it’s cooked separately.

Can you supply plates?

Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we will include the rest in the quote.

For event organisers in Cyprus

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

If you are organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we’ll work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.
