Paella catering for Cyprus events

Paella catering for your event in Cyprus

You can keep it simple or build a full menu: paella on its own, or with canapés, table tapas, desserts and sangria. We’ll recommend what fits your event. On the menu are chicken and chorizo paella, paella Valenciana and vegan paella, and typical bookings are for festivals, fairs and school events and family celebrations and christenings.

In a London neighbourhood like Cyprus, the cooking spot is typically a back garden, a courtyard or a venue’s terrace. Parking and loading are the main things to plan, so tell us about permits, bays or a driveway when you ask for a quote. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: the menu, the staff and any extras, with no surprises on the day.

Questions from Cyprus

What’s the nearest station to Cyprus for guests?

The closest is Woolwich station, roughly 1.3 miles away.

Can you cater a reception after a service at St Michael and All Angels Church?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

How does live paella catering work?

We cook from scratch at your venue in big pans, in front of your guests, and serve straight from the pan.

How many paellas should we have?

Two or three covers most guests. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria can be added, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.

Can you feed a lot of people?

Yes, that is what it is made for. We plan the number of pans and serving points around your numbers.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables can be added to your booking.

Before you choose a spot

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. The main points are:

  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo

As a London location, Cyprus is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think before you book.

How the day works

We get there well before serving, unload, set up the burners and prepare the stock. Your guests are welcome to watch while it cooks. Evenings in Cyprus stay light until about 9:20pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:05pm; once it is dark, we need light to cook and serve by.

  1. Send us your date, numbers and venue.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We arrive in good time to set up.
  4. The sofrito, stock and rice go in, and guests gather to watch.
  5. Service is straight from the pan, then we pack down.

How to prepare

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking

Planning help

For planners, venues and organisers

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.

Live paella in Cyprus: local details

Cyprus is about 2 miles east of Canning Town, in Greater London. From the centre of Cyprus to the outskirts, we offer the same service: paella cooked live, every diet catered for and a clear quote. Cyprus is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London we cover. You can also see our page for London, about 7 miles away.

If you are celebrating after a service at a church like St Michael and All Angels Church, live paella at a garden or venue nearby works well. Parks such as Beckton District Park generally need the owner’s permission for cooking, so ask before you plan a party there.

Here we cover the E6 and E16 postcode area, so your event can be anywhere in it. Streets in the area include Strait Road, Harper Road and Trader Road, and we can cook for an event on any of them. If your venue is just outside Cyprus, we also cover Beckton (1 mile north-east), North Woolwich (1 mile south), Royal Docks (1 mile west), East Ham (1 mile north) and Custom House (1 mile west). Within a short drive, we also cover London (7 miles west), City of Westminster (9 miles west), Marylebone (9 miles west), Kensington (11 miles west), St Pancras (8 miles west) and Shoreditch (6 miles west).

Nearby you’ll also find Greenwich Castle (3.6 miles south-west) and North Woolwich Old Station Museum (0.7 miles south). The countryside around Cyprus includes Gilbert's Pit.

  • Nearby schools include London Design and Engineering UTC (within half a mile south-west) and Oasis Academy Silvertown (0.6 miles south)
  • Parks and local facilities nearby include East Ham (1.6 miles north)

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Request clear labels at the serving table
  • Tell us what else is being served
  • Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease

You shouldn’t have to worry about the food on the day. We arrive in good time, set up, cook and serve, and keep in touch with you or your venue about timings.

Add canapé tapas with the drinks or table tapas as a starter while the paella cooks.

What affects the price in Cyprus

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • The paellas you choose
  • How long we are needed on site
  • How many staff you need

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

What to tell us

Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:

  • The date and time of the event
  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • What the venue already provides

A detailed enquiry gets a more accurate quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Should I cook it myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it is in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A cold buffet is simple but has no theatre, and the food sits out. Paella is cooked live and served hot. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.

Why book with us

  • Options for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests, each in its own pan
