- Roughly how many adults and children
- A photo of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, plus any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. Just fill in our quote form.
Festival paella catering in Canning Town, cooked live
Paella eats well from a bowl with a fork, on the move or on a picnic rug. We cook seafood paella, chicken and chorizo paella and churros, and we are often booked for sports club events and farmers’ and Christmas markets.
Street parties and school fairs in Canning Town are a great fit for a paella stall, as long as the road closure or site permission is in place. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.

Your questions about festival paella catering in Canning Town
Which station should guests use for Canning Town?
Custom House station, in Canning Town itself.
Could we have live paella in Keir Hardie Park?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.
Can you trade at our festival or fair?
Tell us about the event, dates and pitch, and we’ll check availability.
Is there a vegan option?
Yes, always. A vegan paella pan sits alongside the meat and seafood pans.
Can you cook in the rain?
We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.
Do you offer halal options?
Yes, we do. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in its own pan.
Is the paella gluten-free?
A gluten-free pan is no problem. Let us know about coeliac guests in advance so we take the right care.
Do you need water?
We’ll confirm our needs once we know the pitch details.
How it works
When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so the timing is planned around your event. For an evening event in Canning Town, sunset is about 8:50pm in late May and 9:20pm in late June; after dark, we need a lit pitch.
- Send the event name, expected visitors and pitch size.
- You get our stall menu and what we need on site.
- Paperwork goes over in good time.
- We time the first pans for the lunchtime rush.
- At close, we pack down and tidy up.
Before we arrive
- Make sure we can park close by to unload
- Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area

Paella compared with other options
Crew sandwiches are easy but dull. A hot meal keeps crew happy. Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

Should I cook it myself?
A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.
What we need at the venue
Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so we need a suitable spot. Here’s what we look for:
- A level pitch on firm ground
- Access for unloading at set-up
- Clear information on power, water and waste
Canning Town is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.
