How our wedding paella catering works in World's End

Mixed diets are easy at a paella wedding: each paella has its own pan, so vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests eat the same kind of meal as everyone else. Popular choices include table tapas, canapé tapas and a paella wedding breakfast, and we are frequently booked for vow renewals and civil ceremonies and destination-style celebrations at home.

Couples in World's End often marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Live paella works well at both, as long as there is a ventilated spot to cook. Plan parking and loading early. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, each in a separate pan.

Common questions in World's End

Which station should guests use for World's End?

The closest is Imperial Wharf station, roughly 0.5 miles away.

What about parking in World's End?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We will plan unloading around it.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in a separate pan.

Can you cater for children?

Yes. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.

Can you cook in the rain?

A covered, ventilated spot keeps us cooking in the rain. We will talk it through before the day.

How do you work out quantities?

We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Tell us what else is being served. Our guide to portions explains more.

Will you talk to our venue?

Of course. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings and requirements.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

Diets, allergies and planning

Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because every paella has its own pan. A few tips:

  • Book early for summer Saturdays
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers

Evening guests can be served from fresh pans later on, typically timed after the first dance.

We can provide crockery and waiting staff if your venue does not.

Where we can cook in World's End

If a space is not suitable, we’ll tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it

As a London location, World's End is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it is harder than it looks. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

What happens on the day

Serving is fast: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so even a long queue moves. When service is finished, we pack down. Golden-hour photos in World's End at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.

How to prepare

  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Tell us where to park and unload
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
