Wedding paella catering in Wimbledon

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Wimbledon

Evening paella is a favourite: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so evening guests are fed and the dancing carries on. We’re often asked to cater parties after a register office wedding and evening food for extra guests, serving evening paella, Spanish desserts and canapé tapas.

Couples in Wimbledon frequently marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Live paella works well at both, as long as there is a ventilated spot to cook. Plan parking and loading early. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

The menu, dish by dish

Canapé tapas

Canapés keep guests happy between the ceremony and the meal, without spoiling appetites.

Desserts

Spanish desserts from churros to crema catalana, or your cake as dessert.

Prices and what affects them

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • Your choice of paellas
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

What we need to know

These details help us quote quickly:

  • What the venue already provides
  • Where the event is
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. To send your details, send us your details through our quote form.

Planning the cooking area

We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it

Wimbledon is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

What happens on the day

Here’s how the day normally runs: we arrive, set up and start cooking, your guests watch the rice cook, and it is served hot from the pan when you’re ready to eat. Golden-hour photos in Wimbledon at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.

Getting ready for the day

  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Tell us where to park and unload

Live paella or other catering?

Live paella is less formal than a plated meal, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. The cost per head generally falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why book with us

  • Drinks service on request
  • Live cooking, not reheated food
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan

For event organisers in Wimbledon

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Send us your venue’s requirements and we will follow them.

If you’re organising for someone else, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Wimbledon questions

What about parking in Wimbledon?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We will plan unloading around it.

Can you cook in Cannizaro Park?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

Do you cater for coeliacs?

We can cook a gluten-free paella in its own pan. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we can plan it carefully.

Do you do starters?

Yes, and it’s a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.

When should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Ask about your date even if it’s soon.

Can you provide dessert?

Yes, Spanish desserts can be added. Let us know if you’d like one in your enquiry.

How much does wedding paella catering cost in Wimbledon?

Every event is quoted individually, based on what you actually want. Tell us your date and numbers for a clear quote.

Can you cook halal paella?

We can. Let us know your halal numbers, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

DIY paella versus live catering

Not sure whether to cook yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. We’re happy to give you a quote to compare.

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
