Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Paddington
The smell of saffron and garlic drifting across a garden or barn gets guests excited about the meal. Popular choices include evening paella, canapé tapas and Spanish desserts, and typical bookings are for weddings with lots of dietary needs and weddings with a Spanish theme.
For a wedding in Paddington, think about how guests travel between ceremony and reception. Paella can be cooking while they’re on the move, ready to serve on arrival. Everything is cooked from scratch at your wedding, never made in advance and reheated, and served the moment it’s ready.

- Plates, cutlery and glassware
- Parking and unloading
The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. We quote for each event individually.

Getting married in Paddington?
Paddington is about 1 mile west of City of Westminster, in Greater London. Anywhere in W2, we can bring the pans to you. Paddington is one of 764 towns and villages in Greater London we cover.
If you’re marrying at a church near Paddington, such as Church of St John the Evangelist, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: the paella can be cooking while you have photos taken, so the meal is ready when you arrive. The Long Water nearby makes a lovely backdrop for photos.
Anywhere in W2, W1H and W1U, we can bring wedding paella catering to you. Local streets include Harrow Road, Craven Road and Harbet Road; a wedding at home on any of them works well with live paella. You’ll find Paddington on the A5 and A40, which makes it straightforward to bring the equipment. We also cook at weddings in Paddington Green (1 mile north-west), Hyde Park Estate (1 mile south-east), Connaught Village (1 mile south-east), Tyburn (1 mile south-east) and Little Venice (1 mile north-west). A sweet finish: Spanish desserts or your own cake.
Canapé tapas
Canapé tapas fill the gap before the meal, without spoiling appetites.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we will do the cooking.
How the day works
Service is quick: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. When service is finished, we pack down. For a summer wedding in Paddington, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, which means evening paella is typically served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
- We plan your menu course by course.
- Timings are agreed with your venue.
- We cook live on the day and serve each course.
- We clear our area; staff stay as booked.
How to prepare
- Tell us where to park and unload
- Share the running order, including any speeches
- Leave space around the cooking area

Paddington questions
Can you cook in Royal Parks of London?
Only with permission from the park’s owner, usually the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.
We are having a ceremony at Church of St John the Evangelist: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.
Can the paella be cooked in a hall?
Mostly outside or under an open cover, since the burners are gas. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.
Do you cater for young children?
Yes, children are easy to cater for. Let us know numbers and ages, and we will plan for them.
How much does wedding paella catering cost in Paddington?
Every event is quoted individually, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas for a clear quote.
How far ahead should we book?
As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it is worth asking.
Can you feed our photographer and band?
Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.
Is paella too casual for a wedding?
Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.
Why live cooking beats a buffet
Food trucks serve one order at a time, which can mean long queues at a wedding. Paella is served quickly to many guests. Seafood and premium ingredients cost more than chicken or vegetable paellas, so the menu you choose affects the price. We will suggest options to suit your budget.
Why us?
- Hot food served quickly from the pan
- No hidden extras in your quote
- Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
- Sangria and bar staff available

Planning the cooking area
Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so the cooking area needs a little planning. These are the things we check:
- A safe distance from anything that could catch
- A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
- Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
Paddington is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.
