Wedding paella catering for Whitechapel events

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Whitechapel

We can add sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff, to suit the style of your day. Popular choices include a paella wedding breakfast, canapé tapas and table tapas, and typical bookings are for weddings with a Spanish theme and rustic barn weddings.

Couples in Whitechapel frequently marry locally and hold the reception at a venue or garden nearby. Paella suits either, given a ventilated cooking spot. In London, parking and loading need planning early. Timings are planned around your event, whether that is speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

For event organisers in Whitechapel

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Before you choose a spot

Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so the cooking area needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • A separate open-sided gazebo if the meal is in a marquee
  • Parking close enough to carry equipment

As a London location, Whitechapel is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we will tell you honestly.

What affects the price in Whitechapel

These are the factors that matter most:

  • How many courses
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Guest numbers

Live paella pricing depends on the event. A garden party lunch and a full wedding menu are very different jobs. We itemise everything in your quote.

Details that help

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • What the venue already provides
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Where the event is

Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we are available that day.

Why us?

  • Served hot, straight from the pan
  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks

Step by step

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. In Whitechapel, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. First, we check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm the plan with your coordinator.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. A big pan needs a burner that heats it evenly, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.
