Wedding paella catering for Nag's Head events

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Nag's Head

Timing is everything with paella: the rice needs about 20 minutes and is best served immediately. We time it around your speeches and photos. Typical bookings include sharing-style wedding meals and farm and barn venues, with canapé tapas, Spanish desserts and evening paella.

In Nag's Head, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, ready to serve on arrival. The paella is served straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it’s ready.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before you want to eat, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests normally gather round to watch as the paella takes shape. Golden-hour photos in Nag's Head at midsummer come around 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

Planning help

Planning the cooking area

We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it

As a London location, Nag's Head is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

What we offer

  • Dessert
  • Canapé tapas
  • Paella wedding breakfast
  • Sangria & bar staff

Your questions about wedding paella catering in Nag's Head

Can you cook in Whittington Park?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, generally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

What about parking in Nag's Head?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We will work around it.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

It can be as relaxed or as polished as you like, depending on how it’s served.

How long does the paella take?

We arrive well before serving to set up and start the stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

Can you provide dessert?

We do. Spanish desserts such as churros or crema catalana, or you can serve your own cake.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes. Children frequently love a simple chicken paella. Include children in your numbers.

How many different paellas?

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we will suggest the mix.

How much does wedding paella catering cost in Nag's Head?

It depends on guest numbers, the menu, the courses, staff and travel. Send us the details for a quote.

Planners, venues and businesses

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Diets, allergies and planning

Allergies and diets are taken seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Enquire early for peak dates
  • Decide whether guests queue at the pans or are served at the tables
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator

Fresh pans can be cooked for evening guests, typically timed after the first dance.

Sangria and bar staff can be added.

What’s in the pans

Paella wedding breakfast

A choice of paellas, served at the pans or to the tables, with bread and salad.

Evening paella

Fresh pans for evening guests, quick to serve and filling.

What affects the price in Nag's Head

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • The paellas you choose
  • How many guests are eating
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables

Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there is no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.

Details that help

  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • Expected numbers

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.
