About our wedding paella catering in Kingsfold

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests wander over to watch while the photos are taken, and the food arrives hot and plentiful. Popular choices include evening paella, table tapas and Spanish desserts, and we are regularly asked to cater civil partnerships and vow renewals and farm and barn venues.

A wedding in a small place like Kingsfold often means a field, a barn or a family garden. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: the menu, the staff and any extras.

Planners, venues and businesses

Planners and coordinators can contact us directly, and we’ll keep you updated on timings and set-up.

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Live paella or other catering?

Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella goes straight from pan to plate when guests are ready. Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before booking.

Why us?

  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Fast service from the pan
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site

Common questions in Kingsfold

Can you cook at venues in the Surrey Hills National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We will work to whatever the site needs.

What’s the nearest station to Kingsfold for guests?

Warnham station, about 1.6 miles south of the centre.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Mostly outside or under an open cover, because we use gas burners. We’ll check whether your venue has a suitable space.

How soon do we need to book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, sangria. For other drinks, we can provide bar staff to serve what you buy.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes, and meat eaters frequently go back for seconds. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.

Is the paella cooked on site?

It is. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook on the day, then serve straight from the pan.

Can you do our whole wedding menu?

Any part of the day, or all of it, from canapés to evening food.

Dietary needs and planning tips

A little planning makes sure everyone can eat. Here’s how:

  • Tell us when speeches will be
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
  • Ask whether your venue allows outside caterers

Fresh pans can be cooked for evening guests, timed for after the first dance.

Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.

What we need at the venue

We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Parking close enough to carry equipment
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

What we offer

DIY paella versus live catering

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. We take care of all of it.

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

What happens on the day

Watching it cook is half the fun. Onion, garlic, peppers and tomato go in first, then the stock and saffron, then the rice, which cooks without stirring. For a summer wedding in Kingsfold, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
