Wedding paella catering for Battersea events

How our wedding paella catering works in Battersea

Sharing from big pans suits relaxed weddings, especially with long tables and outdoor venues. It feels generous and celebratory. Popular choices include Spanish desserts, table tapas and canapé tapas, and we are often booked for marquee and garden weddings and destination-style celebrations at home.

In Battersea, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, ready to serve on arrival. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

Working with your venue

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

Planning the cooking area

Every venue is different, so we ask about the space before we confirm. Generally, we look for:

  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
  • Level ground for the pans and burners

Battersea is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Give us separate day and evening numbers
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
  • Include any suppliers you are feeding
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early

If speeches or photos run over, tell us, and we will adapt the timing so it is still served fresh.

Sangria and bar staff can be added.

How we price wedding paella catering

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • The number of people
  • Parking and unloading
  • Whether you need crockery

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Getting an accurate quote

You don’t need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • The date and time of the event
  • What the venue already provides
  • The venue or postcode
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and you’ll get a menu idea and a price. To get started, fill in our quote form.

About the dishes

Canapé tapas

Canapés keep guests happy between the ceremony and the meal.

Desserts

Churros with chocolate, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago, or your cake as dessert.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Food trucks serve one order at a time, which can mean long queues at a wedding. Paella is served quickly to many guests. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

Why us?

  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • No hidden extras in your quote
  • Catering across Greater London, including Battersea
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.

The process

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you’re free to enjoy your wedding. If you’ve chosen tapas or canapés, they go out first as the rice is cooking. At midsummer, sunset in Battersea is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. First, we check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Preparing for the day

  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Give us your final numbers and diets

How to get a price

Questions from Battersea

What’s the nearest station to Battersea for guests?

Battersea has its own station: Clapham Junction station.

We are having a ceremony at Clapham Welsh Presbyterian Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is usually elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Indoors only where ventilation and the venue allow it. Courtyards, doorways and terraces often work.

What if our speeches run late?

We adapt. We stay in touch with your coordinator and time the rice so it is served at its best.

Who clears up?

We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Table clearing is available with waiting staff.

Do you come to Battersea?

Yes, we do. Battersea is one of the places we cover. Tell us your date and we’ll check availability.

How long does the paella take?

That depends on your menu and numbers. We will agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.
