Tapas catering for College Park events

Tapas catering in College Park, cooked live

Tapas are made for sharing and talking over. We serve them in two ways: canapés carried round while guests mingle, or table tapas set down to share. We cook croquetas, gambas al ajillo and patatas bravas, and we’re regularly asked to cater tapas and paella menus and tapas starters.

In College Park, tapas suit drinks receptions, evening parties and work events, in a home, a venue or an office. Tell us about access and parking. We serve straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and service is quick once it is ready.

Planning for every diet

We take diets and allergies seriously. Here’s how you can help:

  • Label seafood clearly
  • Canapés need staff to serve
  • Ask for labels on each dish
  • Add sangria or cava

Afterwards, we clear away.

Serving boards and crockery.

What we need at the venue

We’ll agree the cooking spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • Permission from the venue
  • An area to prepare hot tapas
  • Room for a tapas table

College Park is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

Why choose live paella in College Park?

Generic canapés all look the same. Spanish tapas bring colour and flavour. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

College Park questions

Could we have live paella in Little Wormwood Scrubs?

Only with permission from the park’s owner, normally the council. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

What about parking in College Park?

It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We’ll plan unloading around it.

Are the tapas fresh?

Yes, hot dishes are finished at the venue so they’re served at their best.

Who clears up?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Clearing guests’ plates and tables can be added with waiting staff.

How long does the paella take?

That depends on your menu and numbers. We will agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you.

Do you provide drinks?

We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Do you provide plates and cutlery?

We can. Tell us what your venue provides and we’ll include the rest in the quote.

Should I cook it myself?

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Read how to cook paella for a crowd.

Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

How it works

We take care of the food from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. At midsummer, it is light in College Park until about 9:20pm, ideal for tapas in the garden. By late September it’s dark around 7:05pm, and in December by about 3:55pm.

  1. We check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, table tapas or both.
  3. We set up on arrival.
  4. We serve the spread.
  5. We clear away at the end.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • How many courses
  • The length of service
  • How many guests are eating

When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, bread and salads, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

What to tell us

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • The date and rough timings
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

Still deciding on the menu? No problem: give us the basics about your event, and we’ll make suggestions. To start, use our quote form.

Planners, venues and businesses

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.
