Questions from Ware

Do you come out to small places like Ware?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

How far is Ware from London?

Roughly 60 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

How much space do you need?

Not a lot: a flat spot away from anything flammable, with space to serve. Send us a picture if you are not sure.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

Can we have a tasting?

Mention a tasting in your enquiry, and we will talk you through it.

Can you cook in the rain?

We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We’ll agree a wet-weather plan with you.

How much does wedding paella catering cost in Ware?

How our wedding paella catering works in Ware

Timing is everything with paella: once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and it’s best served straight away. We plan it around your speeches and photos. Typical bookings include marquee and garden weddings and destination-style celebrations at home, with canapé tapas, table tapas and evening paella.

Near Ware, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. Live paella is made for that: no kitchen needed, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included, with each paella cooked in its own pan and clearly labelled.

What wedding paella catering costs

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:

  • How many courses
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Whether you need crockery

Got a budget? Let us know, and we will put together a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.

What we need to know

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Where the event is
  • A photo of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
  • The date and time of the event
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff

Every quote is put together for your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

We cook in large pans over gas burners, so the cooking area needs a little planning. Here’s what we look for:

  • Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

How it works

When the rice goes in, it is left alone. That’s what gives paella its separate grains and crispy base. Your guests will smell it before they see it. At midsummer, sunset in Ware is about 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:45pm in late May and 7:00pm in late September.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.
