About our wedding paella catering in The Hale
Paella suits relaxed, sociable weddings, long tables and garden or barn venues. It feels generous without being stuffy. We cook table tapas, Spanish desserts and canapé tapas, and we are frequently booked for spanish-themed and destination-style weddings and barn and farm weddings.
For a wedding in The Hale, think about how guests travel between ceremony and reception. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, so it’s ready when they arrive. The paella is served straight from the pan, so it is hot and generous, and a queue moves quickly.

What affects the price in The Hale
Every event is priced individually, based on a few main things:
- The length of service
- Whether you need crockery
- How many courses
- Travel, parking and access
Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you only pay for what you want.
What to tell us
You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but these help:
- Where the event is
- Whether the venue has crockery or staff
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- Any dietary needs and allergies
Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll check availability at the same time.
Where we can cook in The Hale

- A safe distance from anything that could catch

- Somewhere close to park and unload
The Hale is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway.

Questions from The Hale
Could we have live paella in Stoneyfields Park?
Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.
Is parking a problem for events in The Hale?
It can be, so tell us about parking bays, permits or a driveway. We’ll plan unloading around it.
Do you cook it at the event?
Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook it there and then, serving it hot from the pan.
Do you have a kids’ option?
Yes. A simple chicken paella is normally popular with children. Tell us how many are coming.
Can we try the food first?
Ask us when you enquire and we will explain the options.
What if our speeches run late?
Tell us and we’ll adjust. We keep in touch with your venue on the day and time the rice so it is served at its best.
Do you cater for coeliacs?
We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.
What if the weather’s bad?
We cook under cover, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We plan for rain with you in advance.
Catering for every guest
We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To get it right:
- Choose pan-side or table service
- Send us the running order and speech times
- Count day and evening guests separately
- Introduce us to your venue coordinator
Fresh pans can be cooked for evening guests, timed for after the first dance.
We can provide crockery and waiting staff.
How the day works
Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and cook and serve without fuss. At midsummer, sunset in The Hale is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:55pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.
- You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
- We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
- We fit our timings around your speeches, photos and venue.
- We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
- We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.
Before we arrive
- Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches
- Choose a level spot for the cooking area
- Name one person we can ask on the day

Live paella or other catering?
A plated wedding breakfast needs a kitchen and a large team. Paella needs a level, ventilated spot and permission, and feels more relaxed. If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we will put together a menu that fits. A simple menu can still feel generous.
What you get with us
- Starters and desserts to complete the menu
- Real theatre, not just catering
- Drinks service on request
- We cover The Hale and the whole of Greater London

Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.
Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
For planners, venues and organisers
Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.
If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can plan ahead.
