About our wedding paella catering in Streatham

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the food arrives hot and plentiful. We’re frequently asked to cater big weddings with every diet and wedding receptions after a small ceremony, with Spanish desserts, evening paella and table tapas.

For a wedding in Streatham, think about how guests travel between ceremony and reception. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, so it’s ready when they arrive. Everything is cooked from scratch at your wedding, not reheated.

Prices and what affects them

There’s nothing hidden: the price is based on:

  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • How many guests are eating
  • Timings and hours

Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

What to tell us

For a quote, it helps to have:

  • Any dietary needs and allergies
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • The venue or postcode
  • Your date and when you want to eat

It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote.

How it works

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so the timing is planned around your event. At midsummer, sunset in Streatham is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. Sunset is around 8:50pm in late May and 7:05pm in late September.

  1. We start with your date, venue, numbers and ideas.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue, including speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

How to prepare

  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

Questions from Streatham

Could we have live paella in Streatham Common?

Only if the landowner, typically the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

We are having a ceremony at St Leonard's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Do you cover Streatham?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and Streatham is within our area and the rest of Greater London. To check your date, use our quote form.

What happens if it rains?

We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We plan for rain with you in advance.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

What about supplier meals?

Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.

How much does wedding paella catering cost in Streatham?

We quote for each event, based on what you actually want. Tell us your date and numbers and we will reply with a price.

What if photos overrun?

It happens. The rice goes in at the last sensible moment, so it’s served at its best.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Why us?

  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Catering across Greater London, including Streatham

See Our prices page Or Our guide to catering costs.

Planning the cooking area

The right spot keeps things safe and helps the paella cook evenly. We look for:

  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Somewhere close to park and unload

Streatham is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.
