Why choose live paella in Staple?
Compared with formal catering, live paella is relaxed and sociable, but with canapés, table tapas and good crockery, it still feels special. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, plus any staff, crockery and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

What else we do in Staple
Staple: your questions answered
How far is Staple from London?
Roughly 60 miles from the centre of London, and we cover it as standard.
Which station should guests use for Staple?
Adisham station, about 2.9 miles south-west of the centre.
Do you do canapés and evening food too?
Any part of the day, or all of it, from the drinks reception to the evening.
Can we have a tasting?
Ask us when you enquire and we will explain the options.
What do you need at the venue?
A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.
Can you cater for children?
Yes. A simple chicken paella is usually popular with children. Tell us how many are coming.
What about pudding?
We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook it there and then, serving it hot from the pan.
The menu, dish by dish
Table tapas
Tapas set out on every table to share, from bravas to croquetas and Manchego.
Paella wedding breakfast
The main event: paellas for every diet, served straight from the pan.
Organising for someone else?
Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we’ll explain how it works. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.
Dietary needs and planning tips
With a little notice, every diet is easy. Our advice:
- Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
- Pick a serving style
- Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
- Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
After service, we pack down our cooking area; staff you’ve booked stay as agreed.
Sangria and bar staff can be added.
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
What happens on the day
Your timings come first. If speeches run late or the photos take longer, we hold the paella at the right stage so it is still served fresh. In Staple, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:00pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is typically served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:50pm.
- Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
- We plan your menu course by course.
- Timings are agreed with your venue.
- On the day, we cook and serve each course.
- We clear our area; staff stay as booked.
Before we arrive
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot
- Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
- Let us know who to talk to on the day
