Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Shooter's Hill

Mixed diets are easy at a paella wedding: each paella has its own pan, so every guest gets a proper hot main. We’re frequently asked to cater barn and farm weddings and food for evening guests, with table tapas, canapé tapas and evening paella.

In Shooter's Hill, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. Paella can be cooking while they’re on the move, ready to serve on arrival. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

DIY paella versus live catering

Cooking paella for a crowd yourself is possible, but it’s harder than it looks. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right at scale is tricky. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and handles separate pans for each diet.

Prices and what affects them

Each event is quoted on its own, based on a few main things:

  • Whether you need crockery
  • How many courses
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Distance and access to the venue

Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

Getting an accurate quote

When you get in touch, it helps to tell us:

  • Anything your venue supplies
  • The date and rough timings
  • A photo of the space, if you can
  • Diets and allergies you know about

Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will check availability at the same time.

What happens on the day

The paella is cooked in huge, shallow pans over gas burners. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. At midsummer, sunset in Shooter's Hill is about 9:20pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:50pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
  3. We fit our timings around your speeches, photos and venue.
  4. On the day we set up, cook live and serve each course as planned.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Getting ready for the day

  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Tell us when you want to eat
  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot

Questions from Shooter's Hill

Is parking a problem for events in Shooter's Hill?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We will plan unloading around it.

Can you cook in Eaglesfield Park?

Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

Do you work with our venue?

Yes, and it saves you passing messages. Introduce us and we will sort the details.

Can you cook halal paella?

Yes, we do. Halal paella is cooked with halal chicken and no pork or alcohol, in a separate pan.

Do you provide drinks?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

How many paellas should we have?

Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We will help you decide the split.

When do you arrive?

We get there in good time to set up. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, and we time it to your schedule.

Can you feed our photographer and band?

Yes, include them in your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.

Who books wedding paella catering in Shooter's Hill?

Sharing food gets tables chatting.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Civil partnerships and vow renewals
  • Parties after a register office wedding
  • Sharing-style wedding meals
  • Evening food for extra guests

For guests travelling by train, Falconwood station is about 0.9 miles away.

What your quote should include

  • How long the team stays
  • Who provides the crockery
  • Whether travel is included
  • How late numbers can change

Choosing a paella caterer

For event organisers in Shooter's Hill

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Send us your venue’s requirements and we’ll follow them.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Planning for every diet

We cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests. To make it work smoothly:

  • Put us in touch with your venue
  • Include any suppliers you are feeding
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Tell us when speeches will be

We clear our cooking area away afterwards; any staff stay as long as agreed.

Crockery, cutlery and waiting staff are available.

Live paella or other catering?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Separate paella pans cover every diet. Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Why book with us

  • A clear, itemised quote
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
