How our wedding paella catering works in Pondwell
Mixed diets are easy at a paella wedding: each paella has its own pan, so vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests eat the same kind of meal as everyone else. Whether it is parties after a register office wedding and food for evening guests, we’ll put together a menu of canapé tapas, table tapas and a paella wedding breakfast.
Rural weddings around Pondwell have a magic of their own, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, never made in advance and reheated, and served as soon as it’s ready.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you’ll still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Pondwell: your questions answered
We are having a ceremony at St. Peter's Church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
Is Pondwell too small for live paella?
Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.
Do you cater for suppliers?
Yes, include them in your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.
How do you work out quantities?
Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Accurate numbers help.
Can you cook in the rain?
We cook under cover, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We’ll agree a wet-weather plan with you.
Can we add tapas or canapés?
Of course. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, while the rice is cooking.
Can you do sangria?
We can make sangria, and we can staff a bar with your drinks.
Can you bring crockery?
Yes, if you need them. Tell us what your venue provides and we will include the rest in the quote.
