Planning an event in Harrow?

Before you choose a spot

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but there are a few things to check:

  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee

As a London location, Harrow is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking takes planning: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If you are unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

How our wedding paella catering works in Harrow

At a wedding, paella is both the meal and a bit of a show. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. We’re frequently asked to cater relaxed sharing-style wedding breakfasts and civil partnerships and vow renewals, with table tapas, canapé tapas and a paella wedding breakfast.

In Harrow, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. Paella can be cooking while they’re on the move, so it is ready when they arrive. Everything is cooked from scratch at your wedding, not reheated, and served as soon as it’s ready.

Who books wedding paella catering in Harrow?

It fills the gap between ceremony and meal: watch the pans.

If you’re planning any of these, we can help:

  • Vow renewals and civil ceremonies
  • Sharing-style wedding meals
  • Barn and farm weddings
  • Weddings in a marquee or garden

Planning photos in Northwick Park? It is worth checking the park’s rules first.

What your quote should include

  • Allergen information for each dish
  • If the price includes VAT
  • Staff numbers and hours
  • A clear list of what’s included

Our caterer checklist

Is live paella right for your wedding?

Hog roasts are popular but tricky for mixed diets. Paella covers them with separate pans. Compared with a plated meal, live paella is frequently good value, as there is no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.

Why us?

  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts

How we price wedding paella catering

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Guest numbers
  • The paellas you choose
  • Distance and access to the venue
  • Timings and hours

There is no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • The venue or postcode
  • Diets and allergies you know about

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: the venue, the timings, the courses you’d like and any extras. When you’re ready, fill in our quote form.

The process

It’s a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. Golden-hour photos in Harrow at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:55pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Share the running order, including any speeches
  • Have a level space ready for the pans

Getting a price

It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

DIY paella versus live catering

For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.

Organising for someone else?

Booking for a company? Tell us what your finance team needs, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.

If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Harrow questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Peter?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking usually happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

Which station should guests use for Harrow?

The closest is Harrow-on-the-Hill station, roughly 0.7 miles away.

Will there be enough food?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

When should we book?

The sooner the better. Peak dates go quickly, so contact us early.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans.

What if the timings change?

It happens. We time the rice to the actual running order, so it’s served at its best.

Can you feed our photographer and band?

Yes. Include suppliers in your numbers and we will plan for them.

Can paella feel formal?

With the right presentation, it feels special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
