Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Hanover

Saffron and garlic in the air has everyone looking forward to dinner. For weddings with a Spanish theme and rustic barn weddings, we can cook a paella wedding breakfast, table tapas and evening paella and more.

Weddings in a place like Hanover often feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A huge pan on the lawn fits right in. Let us know about access for the van. The paella is served straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and a queue moves quickly.

Hanover questions

Can you cook in Queen's Park?

Only if the landowner, generally the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide our paperwork.

We’re having a ceremony at Church of the Annunciation: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Can the paella be cooked in a hall?

Normally we cook outdoors or under a ventilated cover, because we use gas burners. We will check whether your venue has a suitable space.

Which areas do you serve?

We cover London and the South East, including Brighton and Hove. See all areas.

What about supplier meals?

Just add them to your numbers. Let us know when they need feeding.

Do you offer halal options?

We can. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and we’ll cook a separate pan.

Can you cook in the rain?

We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We’ll agree a wet-weather plan with you.

Is paella smart enough for a wedding?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.

How it works

A typical event goes like this: we arrive, set up and start cooking, the rice cooks in front of your guests, and we serve straight from the pan at the agreed time. In Hanover, midsummer sunset is about 9:15pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:05pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. First, we check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

What we need at the venue

Live paella is cooked over gas burners in large pans, so we need a suitable spot. Here’s what we look for:

  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • Access for unloading near the cooking spot
  • The venue’s permission for live cooking

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we’ll advise before you book.

Why choose wedding paella catering in Hanover?

It gives guests something to do between the ceremony and the meal: watch the pans.

If you are planning any of these, we can help:

  • Weddings in a marquee or garden
  • Informal wedding breakfasts
  • Destination-style celebrations at home
  • Parties after a register office wedding

If you are hoping for photos in Queen's Park, check whether the park needs permission for photography or gatherings.

  • How late numbers can change
  • If the price includes VAT
  • The deposit and payment dates
  • Allergen information for each dish

Our caterer checklist

For planners, venues and organisers

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: cooking areas, access times and documents. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll let you know if live paella is a good fit.

Paella compared with other options

Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella goes straight from pan to plate when guests are ready. Larger events typically cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Why choose Love Paella in Hanover

  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Plates, cutlery and waiting staff available
  • Real theatre, not just catering

Take a look at How we price Or The cost guide.

What affects the price in Hanover

There are no hidden charges: the price is based on:

  • The number of people
  • How many staff you need
  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood

Live paella frequently compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • Diets and allergies you know about
  • Where the event is
  • A picture of where we’d cook
  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts

Still deciding on the menu? That’s fine: tell us about the occasion and the guests, and we’ll suggest a menu. Start when you are ready: use our quote form.

Catering for every guest

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Try these:

  • Pick a serving style
  • Tell us how many evening guests to expect
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one

We usually set up where guests can watch, and it makes a great photo.
