DIY paella versus live catering

Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. Common mistakes are mismatched pans and burners, overfilling and stirring. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Wedding paella catering in Fyfield, cooked live

Paella suits relaxed, sociable weddings, long tables and garden or barn venues. It feels generous without being stuffy. On the menu are canapé tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and Spanish desserts, and typical bookings are for weddings in a marquee or garden and vow renewals and civil ceremonies.

Rural weddings around Fyfield have a magic of their own, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan for access and a wet-weather cover. We bring everything we need to cook, and pack down our cooking area when service is finished.

Working with your venue

Venues frequently have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so everyone eats promptly. Tell us how long you have for food.

Two or three covers most guests. Tell us about your guests’ diets and we’ll suggest the mix.

Do you do vegan paella?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan paellas are cooked in separate pans.

How the day works

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you can enjoy your wedding. Any tapas or canapés are served first while the paella cooks. For a summer wedding in Fyfield, the sun sets at about 9:25pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 4:00pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.
