Wedding paella catering in Hyde
What wedding paella catering costs
There is nothing hidden: the quote reflects:
- The number of people
- Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
- Your choice of paellas
- The length of service
Access and travel can make a difference to the cost, so it helps to tell us about your venue. The full price is confirmed before you book.
Getting an accurate quote
Good planning starts with a few facts. Try to include:
- Approximate guest numbers, including children
- The courses you’d like
- The date and rough timings
- Whether the venue has crockery or staff
Each quote is tailored to your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we are available that day.
Wedding paella catering in Hyde, cooked live
We plan the wedding menu with you, course by course, around your guests, your venue and your budget. We cook evening paella, a paella wedding breakfast and canapé tapas, and we’re regularly asked to cater vow renewals and civil ceremonies and marquee and garden weddings.
For a smaller place like Hyde, a garden or farm wedding is often the dream. We need level ground and access. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.
DIY paella versus live catering
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and don’t stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.
Hyde: your questions answered
Can you cater a reception after a service at St Bartholomew's Church?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.
Is Hyde close to London?
Roughly 60 miles from the centre of London.
Do you do starters?
Yes, and it’s a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.
Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?
Yes, and it saves you passing messages. Introduce us and we’ll sort the details.
How many paellas should we have?
Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We’ll suggest a split based on your guests.
Can you feed our photographer and band?
Yes, include them in your numbers. Tell us when they’ll eat.
Can we try the food first?
Tell us you’d like a tasting when you enquire, and we will talk you through it.
Is it really cooked live?
Yes. Every paella is cooked from scratch on site, in front of your guests.

What happens on the day
It is a relaxed, well-organised set-up. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and get on with cooking and serving. In Hyde, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:10pm, which means evening paella is usually served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it’s dark by about 4:00pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.
- You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
- We build the menu course by course and send a quote.
- Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
- On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
- We pack down our cooking area, with staff staying as long as agreed.
Getting ready for the day
- Arrange parking near the cooking spot
- Pick a flat, firm spot for us to cook
