Planning an event in Church End?

Wedding paella catering in Church End, made fresh on the day

Sharing from big pans suits relaxed weddings, especially with long tables and outdoor venues. It feels generous without being stuffy. We’re often asked to cater weddings with mixed diets and food for evening guests, serving canapé tapas, table tapas and Spanish desserts.

London weddings around Church End often mean a ceremony at a church or register office, then a reception at a hired venue or a family garden. Live paella works well at both, as long as there is a ventilated spot to cook. Plan parking and loading early. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so the whole menu comes from one caterer.

Church End: your questions answered

Could we have live paella in Roundwood Park?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Check with them, and we will provide our paperwork.

Is parking a problem for events in Church End?

London parking needs planning: let us know about permits or off-street space. We will work around it.

Do you cook it at the event?

It is. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook on the day, then serve straight from the pan.

Do you take everything away?

We pack down our cooking area after service. Waiting staff can clear tables if you book them.

Do you work with our venue?

Of course. We’ll speak to your venue about access and timings.

Can you do our whole wedding menu?

We can. Canapé tapas, table tapas, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts, or any part of that.

What if our speeches run late?

We plan for it. The rice goes in at the last sensible moment, so it is ready when you are.

How do you work out quantities?

Quantities depend on numbers, timing and courses, with a sensible margin. Give us accurate numbers for the best result.

What wedding paella catering costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • The number of people
  • Staff: cooks, waiting staff and bar staff
  • Travel, parking and access
  • How long we are needed on site

Comparing caterers? Look at what each quote includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. Our quotes spell it all out.

What we need to know

The more we know about your wedding, the better we can plan. Please include:

  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Planners, venues and businesses

Events in public spaces, like parks, generally need permission. We’ll provide any information the landowner or council asks for.

Planning an event for a club, school or charity in Church End? Live paella feeds a crowd quickly and suits most diets. Give us the details and we will suggest a plan.

Dishes our guests love

Paella wedding breakfast

The main event: paellas for every diet, served straight from the pan.

Canapé tapas

Canapés keep guests happy between the ceremony and the meal, without spoiling appetites.

Paella compared with other options

Food vans can create long queues. Paella pans serve many guests quickly. Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

Why Church End hosts choose us

  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Waiting staff and crockery on request
  • Sangria and bar staff available
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests

What happens on the day

When we arrive, we set up the burners and pans and start cooking the sofrito and stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, so we time everything to your schedule. Golden-hour photos in Church End at midsummer come around 9:20pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:55pm, and in late September about 7:05pm.

  1. First, we check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve and clear our cooking area.

Preparing for the day

  • Have a level space ready for the pans
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
  • Keep the cooking spot clear of fences, hedges and branches

DIY paella versus live catering

Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

A DIY paella party works for small groups. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.

Perfect for your wedding in Church End

Mixed diets are easy, which matters at weddings with lots of guests.

Whatever the occasion, live paella can be the centrepiece. We regularly cater:

  • Vow renewals and civil ceremonies
  • Weddings with a Spanish theme
  • Food for evening guests
  • Wedding receptions after a small ceremony

If you are marrying at a church near Church End, such as Church of St Mary, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: the paella can be cooking while you have photos taken, so it is ready as guests arrive.

Before booking anyone

  • The deadline for final numbers
  • Whether travel is included
  • If the price includes VAT
  • How dietary needs and allergies are handled

Choosing a paella caterer

Diets, allergies and planning

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Include any suppliers you are feeding
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards
  • Confirm the venue’s catering rules early
  • Give us separate day and evening numbers

Fresh pans can be cooked for evening guests, normally timed after the first dance.

Add sangria, or bar staff to serve your own drinks.
