Live wedding paella catering in Chiswick

Wedding paella catering in Chiswick, cooked live

The smell of saffron and garlic drifting across a garden or barn has everyone looking forward to dinner long before it is served. We are often asked to cater weddings with a Spanish theme and relaxed sharing-style wedding breakfasts, with a paella wedding breakfast, table tapas and Spanish desserts.

In Chiswick, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. The paella can be cooking while everyone makes their way over, so it’s ready when they arrive. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

What wedding paella catering costs

Each event is quoted on its own, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • Parking and unloading
  • How long we’re needed on site
  • Guest numbers

Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. Tell us your budget and we will suggest a menu.

Details that help

These details help us quote quickly:

  • The venue or postcode
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • A picture of the space, if you can

To get a price, fill in our quote form. Give us the details of your wedding, and we will suggest paellas and extras to suit.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella is served hot from the pan when guests are ready. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.

Chiswick questions

What’s the nearest station to Chiswick for guests?

The closest is Chiswick station, roughly 0.8 miles away.

We’re having a ceremony at St. Nicholas Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Is the paella gluten-free?

A gluten-free pan is no problem. Tell us about any coeliac guests when you book so we take the right care.

Can we try the food first?

Ask us when you enquire and we will explain the options.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Yes, and it’s a popular combination. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Yes, it makes life easier. Introduce us and we’ll sort the details.

How much space do you need?

A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, outdoors or in a marquee or well-ventilated area, and the venue’s permission for live cooking.

Can you provide dessert?

Yes. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.

The menu, dish by dish

Evening paella

A second round of paella for the evening, served quickly so the party keeps going.

Table tapas

Sharing tapas breaks the ice.

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Choose pan-side or table service
  • Send us the running order and speech times
  • Check the venue’s rules for outside caterers
  • Put us in touch with your venue

We keep in touch with your venue coordinator or toastmaster on the day, so you can enjoy yourselves.

Spanish desserts, or your own wedding cake, finish the meal.

Organising for someone else?

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep everyone informed on the day.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we will work to it.

What happens on the day

The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, and we agree where that is before the day. In Chiswick, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, which means evening paella is generally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it is dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. You tell us your date, venue, guest numbers and how you picture the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We fit our timings around your speeches, photos and venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
  5. We clear our cooking area, and staff stay as agreed.

Preparing for the day

  • Tell us where to park and unload
  • Let us know who to talk to on the day
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
