How we price wedding paella catering

Your quote will be clear and itemised. The main things that affect it are:

  • The length of service
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • How many guests are eating

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so tell us about the venue when you ask for a quote. The full price is confirmed before you book.

What we need to know

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Approximate guest numbers, including children
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • Which courses you have in mind
  • The date and rough timings

Getting a quote is simple: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll send a clear, itemised quote and a suggested menu.

Wedding paella catering in Caversfield, made fresh on the day

A wedding paella is food and entertainment at once. Guests drift over to watch the pans while the photos are being taken, and the meal arrives hot and generous. Whether it is food for evening guests and big weddings with every diet, we’ll put together a menu of a paella wedding breakfast, evening paella and canapé tapas.

Rural weddings around Caversfield have a magic of their own, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. Your quote spells out exactly what’s included: menu, staff, crockery and anything else you choose.

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls

If you are unsure, send a picture of the space and we’ll say what we think before booking.

The process

We get there well before serving, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Your guests are welcome to watch as the paella takes shape. In Caversfield, midsummer sunset is about 9:30pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:10pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is normally served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. We plan a menu with you, course by course, and confirm a quote.
  3. Timings are agreed with you and the venue, around speeches and photos.
  4. On the day, we set up, cook in front of your guests and serve each course.
  5. Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.

Preparing for the day

  • Plan cover in case of rain
  • Name one person we can ask on the day
  • Leave space around the cooking area

Planners, venues and businesses

If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we’re happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Venues often have their own rules about outside caterers: where cooking is allowed, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Why choose live paella in Caversfield?

Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella is served hot from the pan. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

Caversfield: your questions answered

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Lawrence: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is normally elsewhere. Send us the reception address.

Is Caversfield too small for live paella?

Not at all. We cater in villages and hamlets as well as towns. Let us know about access and parking.

Do you cook it at the event?

It is. We bring the pans, burners and fresh ingredients and cook it there and then, then serve straight from the pan.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria, yes. We can also supply bar staff for your own drinks.

Do you cater in Caversfield?

We do. We cook at events in Caversfield and across Oxfordshire. Send us your date to check availability.

Do you do canapés and evening food too?

Yes. We can do canapés, tapas, the wedding breakfast, evening food and desserts.

Should we have more than one paella?

Two or three covers most guests. We’ll recommend a mix based on diets.

Is halal food available?

Yes, on request. Tell us how many guests need halal food, and it’s cooked separately.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
