Is live paella right for your wedding?
A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. When you compare quotes, check what each one includes: staff, crockery, sides, travel and VAT. We itemise ours.
What you get with us
- We cover Oxford and the whole of Oxfordshire
- Crockery and waiting staff if you need them
- Served hot, straight from the pan
- Tapas, canapés and desserts if you want them
Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Oxford
Paella has a natural rhythm: the rice needs about 20 minutes and is best served immediately. We plan it around your speeches and photos. On the menu are evening paella, Spanish desserts and canapé tapas, and typical bookings are for receptions after an intimate ceremony and weddings in a marquee or garden.
Wedding receptions in and around Oxford often use a hotel, a hired venue or a family garden. Whichever you choose, we will agree the cooking spot with the venue. You can add tapas, desserts, sangria, bar staff and waiting staff, so one booking can cover the whole menu.

Why choose wedding paella catering in Oxford?
Mixed diets are easy, which matters with a big guest list.
Whatever the occasion, paella can be the star of the food. We often cook for:
- Food for evening guests
- Weddings with lots of dietary needs
- Spanish-themed and destination-style weddings
- Weddings in a marquee or garden
If you are hoping for photos in South Park, check whether the park needs permission for photography or gatherings.
Questions to ask before you book
- The deadline for final numbers
- Exactly what’s included in the price
- Staff numbers and hours
- What the caterer needs from your venue
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles separate pans for each diet.
Cooking it yourself? Test your pan and burner first, keep the stock hot, and do not stir once the rice goes in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
