Choosing a paella caterer

How our wedding paella catering works in Brookhampton

Paella as evening food is popular: hot, filling and served quickly from the pan, so the party keeps going. We cook a paella wedding breakfast, Spanish desserts and canapé tapas, and we are often booked for civil partnerships and vow renewals and rustic barn weddings.

Rural weddings around Brookhampton have a magic of their own, and an open-air paella adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. We cook every pan in full view of your guests, so it arrives hot and becomes part of the event.

Common questions in Brookhampton

Is Brookhampton close to London?

Roughly 46 miles from the centre of London.

Do you cater in the Chilterns National Landscape?

Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll follow the site rules.

Do you do desserts?

We can add a dessert. Let us know if you’d like one in your enquiry.

Is paella too casual for a wedding?

Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, table tapas, good crockery and staff serving the tables.

How long do you need on site?

It depends on the menu and numbers. We’ll agree arrival, cooking and serving times with you so the paella is ready when you want it.

How much paella per person?

We size the pans for your numbers and the rest of the menu. Tell us what else is being served. Our guide to portions explains more.

Do you have a kids’ option?

Yes, children are easy to cater for. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan a pan with them in mind.

Is halal food available?

Yes. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in a separate pan.

What wedding paella catering costs

These are the factors that matter most:

  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • How many staff you need
  • How long we are needed on site
  • Parking and unloading

Travel, parking and access can affect the price, so it helps to tell us about your venue. Everything is confirmed in writing.

Details that help

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • Whether you want canapés, tapas or desserts
  • Whether the venue has crockery or staff
  • A picture of the cooking space, if it’s a garden or field
  • Diets and allergies you know about

It is easy to get a price: share your date, venue, numbers and diets. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Table tapas

A tapas starter gets tables talking.

Canapé tapas

Canapé tapas fill the gap before the meal, without spoiling appetites.

Live paella or other catering?

Live paella is less formal than a plated meal, but with the right extras it feels just as special. Live paella pricing depends on the event. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

Why book with us

  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Catering across Oxfordshire, including Brookhampton
  • Separate pans for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal guests
  • Food that becomes part of the entertainment

Diets, allergies and planning

Every guest is catered for, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal included. To get it right:

  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Introduce us to your venue coordinator
  • Collect dietary needs on the RSVP
  • Include any suppliers you are feeding

The pans are often set up where guests can see them, which makes a lovely backdrop for photos.

Finish with Spanish desserts or your cake.

How the day works

We cook over gas burners in wide, shallow pans. It needs a level spot with some shelter and good ventilation, and we agree where that is before the day. In Brookhampton, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it is nearer 7:10pm, which means evening paella is typically served in daylight in June and July. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. We plan your menu course by course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

Before we arrive

  • Ensure the spot is clear of anything flammable
  • Arrange a covered spot for wet weather
  • Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, have hot stock ready, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.

Some hosts like to cook themselves. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.

Working with your venue

For repeat events, such as annual staff parties or seasonal fairs, let us know your dates early, so we can plan ahead.

If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we will talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
