Wedding paella catering in Broadwater Farm

How our wedding paella catering works in Broadwater Farm

Sharing from big pans suits relaxed weddings, especially with long tables and outdoor venues. It feels generous and celebratory. We’re often asked to cater blessings and vow renewals and informal wedding breakfasts, with a paella wedding breakfast, Spanish desserts and evening paella.

In Broadwater Farm, getting guests from ceremony to reception is part of the plan. Paella can be cooking while they’re on the move, ready to serve on arrival. You’ll know exactly what’s included before you book: the menu, the staff and any extras.

Planners, venues and businesses

If you run the same event each year, tell us your dates early, so we can hold the date.

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we will keep you updated on timings and set-up.

Space, weather and the venue

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but there are a few things to check:

  • Level ground for the pans and burners
  • A safe distance from anything that could catch
  • An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee

Broadwater Farm is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

Not sure about your space? Send us a photo and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Why live cooking beats a buffet

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. The cost per head normally falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we will quote.

Why book with us

  • Paella cooked from scratch on site
  • Drinks service on request
  • A quote that spells everything out
  • Crockery and waiting staff if you need them

Should I cook it myself?

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there is shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

How the day works

Service is quick: the paella goes straight from the pan to the plate, so large groups are fed quickly. When service is finished, we pack down. For a summer wedding in Broadwater Farm, the sun sets at about 9:20pm in late June and about 7:05pm in late September, so an evening paella for evening guests is generally served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. We check availability for your date.
  2. You pick the courses and dishes.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. The pans cook while guests enjoy the drinks.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

Preparing for the day

  • Make sure we can park close by to unload
  • Confirm the venue is happy with live cooking
  • Make sure the spot is clear of anything flammable
