How we price wedding paella catering

There are no hidden charges: the quote reflects:

  • Guest numbers
  • The length of service
  • Whether you need crockery
  • How many courses

Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

What to tell us

To speed things up, tell us:

  • What the venue already provides
  • The courses you’d like
  • The date and time of the event
  • Expected numbers

Tell us your date, venue or postcode and roughly how many guests, along with any dietary needs, and we’ll reply with a menu suggestion and a quote. To get started, fill in our quote form.

Wedding paella catering for your wedding in Bow

Paella suits relaxed, sociable weddings, long tables and garden or barn venues. It feels generous and celebratory. On the menu are canapé tapas, a paella wedding breakfast and table tapas, and we’re regularly asked to cater evening wedding food and garden and marquee weddings.

Near Bow, weddings are often in fields, barns or gardens. That’s exactly where live paella shines: no kitchen, just a level, sheltered spot. Tell us about lanes, gates and ground conditions. Each paella is cooked from scratch on the day, not reheated.

What happens on the day

The cooking is part of the entertainment. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook while your guests chat. Golden-hour photos in Bow at midsummer come around 9:25pm, so we can time the evening paella around your photos. Sunset is around 9:00pm in late May and 7:10pm in late September.

  1. We check availability for your date.
  2. You choose canapés, tapas, paellas and desserts.
  3. We confirm everything with your venue.
  4. Guests watch the paella cook during the reception.
  5. We serve, then pack down.

How to prepare

Organising for someone else?

For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.

If you’re planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It saves passing messages back and forth.

Bow questions

Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Denys?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking typically happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.

How far is Bow from London?

Roughly 61 miles from the centre of London, and well within our area.

Can you liaise with the venue coordinator?

Yes, it makes life easier. Put us in touch and we’ll agree the details.

Can you serve tapas as well?

Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas go out first, then the paella.

What do you need at the venue?

Level ground for the burners, pans and a table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, plus the venue’s agreement to cooking.

Is the paella cooked on site?

Yes, always. We cook from scratch in large pans at your venue, in front of your guests.

Can we try the food first?

Ask us when you enquire and we’ll explain the options.

Do you provide drinks?

We can make sangria, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

If you’re marrying at a church near Bow, such as Church of St Denys or Holy Trinity Church, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: we can be cooking during the photos, so the meal is ready when you arrive.

Before you choose a spot

Before the day, we will agree where we cook. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans

If you’re unsure, send a photo of the space and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Popular choices

  • Sangria & bar staff
  • Canapé tapas
  • Evening paella
  • Dessert
  • Table tapas
  • Paella wedding breakfast

Paella compared with other options

Buffets can mean food sitting for a while. Paella is served hot from the pan. The cost per head normally falls as numbers rise, since the set-up is much the same either way. Give us your numbers and we’ll quote.

Dishes our guests love

Paella wedding breakfast

A choice of paellas, served at the pans or to the tables, with bread and salad.

Table tapas

Bowls and boards set down in the middle of each table, such as patatas bravas, croquetas and Manchego.

Planning for every diet

Good planning keeps every guest safe and happy. Here’s how:

  • Pick a serving style
  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Ask about your date as soon as you have one
  • Add a dietary question to your RSVP cards

If speeches or photos run over, tell us, and we will adjust the cooking so the paella is served at its best.

Finish with Spanish desserts or your cake.

Cook it yourself or book a caterer?

Doing it yourself saves money, but the host ends up stuck at the stove. With live paella catering, you get the theatre without the work.

Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. A caterer handles all of that.

  • Cooked live in giant pans at your event
  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options
  • Paella, tapas, canapés and desserts
  • Sangria, bar staff, crockery and waiting staff
