Tapas catering in Locksgreen

Tapas catering in Locksgreen, cooked live

Many classic tapas are naturally vegetarian, such as tortilla, bravas and padrón peppers, and some can be gluten-free. We cook Serrano ham, gambas al ajillo and Manchego with membrillo, and we’re frequently booked for birthday drinks and engagement parties.

In a rural spot like Locksgreen, tapas can be served in a garden, barn or marquee. The paella is served straight from the pan, so every plate is hot, and a queue moves quickly.

What tapas catering costs

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, depending on:

  • The length of service
  • How many staff you need
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert

Tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are optional extras, so you can choose exactly what you need.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what’s useful:

  • A picture of the space, if you can
  • Roughly how many adults and children
  • Where the event is
  • What the venue already provides

Getting a quote is simple: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We’ll come back with a clear quote and a suggested menu.

Is live paella right for your event?

Nibbles fill a gap. Tapas make a proper course. Premium seafood costs more than chicken or vegetables, so your choice of paellas affects the total. We will suggest options to suit your budget.

Why us?

  • Sangria, plus bar staff for your own drinks
  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Real theatre, not just catering
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan

Locksgreen questions

Can you cook near the sea around Locksgreen?

Yes, as long as we can shelter from the wind. Wind is the main issue on the coast, so we plan shelter.

Is Locksgreen too small for live paella?

No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.

Where do you cater?

London and the South East: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.

Can you do sangria?

Sangria can be added, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.

How many paellas should we have?

Two or three is usual: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We’ll help you decide the split.

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Yes, and they’re popular with everyone. Each is cooked separately, with its own stock and utensils.

How much is live paella catering?

We quote for each event, so you only pay for what you need. Give us your date, numbers and menu ideas and we’ll reply with a price.

Can we have tapas without paella?

What happens on the day

Watching it cook is half the fun. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook while your guests chat. A summer drinks reception in Locksgreen has daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, ideal for tapas in the garden. In late September, sunset is about 7:10pm; winter receptions, dark by 4:00pm, are better indoors.

  1. We check your date.
  2. You choose canapés, table tapas or both.
  3. We set up on arrival.
  4. Hot and cold tapas are served.
  5. We clear away at the end.

Before we arrive

  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Confirm numbers and diets before the day
  • Leave space around the cooking area
