Paella party catering in Bray

How our paella party catering works in Bray

It’s easy to cater for a mix of guests: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood pan and a vegetable or vegan pan side by side. Children typically love a simple chicken paella. Popular choices include seafood paella, mixed paella and tapas, and typical bookings are for christenings and naming days and neighbourhood celebrations.

Near Bray, parties are often in gardens or fields. Let us know about access, and we will plan the set-up. Everything is cooked from scratch at your party, never made in advance and reheated, and served as soon as it is ready.

Who books paella party catering in Bray?

It brings a bit of holiday feeling to a garden party.

We can help if you’re planning any of the following:

  • Big birthdays
  • Garden get-togethers
  • Big family gatherings
  • Baby celebrations

Thinking of a party in Braywick Park? Cooking in a public park normally needs permission from the council or landowner, so check first.

What your quote should include

  • How late numbers can change
  • VAT, if it applies
  • Any travel, parking or access charges
  • When payment is due

Choosing a paella caterer

Organising for someone else?

Events in public spaces, like parks, normally need permission. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

Planning for every diet

Most events have a mix of diets. To plan for them:

  • Have cover ready for a shower
  • Make sure most people can sit to eat
  • Give separate numbers for children
  • Warn the neighbours

At food time, we serve straight from the pan.

Plates, cutlery and waiting staff can be added.

The menu, dish by dish

Chicken & chorizo paella

Chicken and chorizo is a crowd-pleaser, though it is not traditional in Valencia.

Tapas

A few tapas set the scene while they watch the pans.

DIY paella versus live catering

DIY catering keeps costs down, but the host spends the party cooking. Booking us means you get the show without the stress.

You can cook paella for a crowd yourself, but it takes practice. Large pans need the right burners, and getting the rice right for dozens of people takes experience. Our guide to cooking paella for a crowd explains how.

Space, weather and the venue

We’ll be honest if a space will not work. What matters most:

  • Confirmation that open cooking is allowed
  • A level, firm spot for the burners and pans
  • Parking close enough to carry equipment

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before booking.

What we offer

  • Churros
  • Tapas
  • Chicken & chorizo paella
  • Vegetable paella
  • Mixed paella
  • Paella Valenciana
  • Seafood paella

What happens on the day

Service is quick: we serve straight from the pan, so large groups are fed quickly. Afterwards we clear our cooking area away. Sunset in Bray is about 8:55pm in late May and 9:25pm in late June. If the party runs past dark, we will need light where we cook and serve.

  1. We check your date and the space.
  2. You pick paellas, tapas and desserts.
  3. The burners go on and the sofrito starts.
  4. In goes the rice, and guests gather.
  5. It is served hot, and we clear away afterwards.

Before we arrive

  • Leave space around the cooking area
  • Check the venue allows live cooking
  • Choose a level spot for the cooking area

What affects the price in Bray

Every event is priced individually, and the price depends on a few things:

  • Travel, parking and access
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • The number of people
  • The length of service

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the courses, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

What to tell us

You do not need every detail fixed to get a quote, but it helps to know:

  • Anything your venue supplies
  • The venue or postcode
  • Expected numbers
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you’re ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Bray: your questions answered

What’s the nearest station to Bray for guests?

The closest is Taplow station, roughly 1.3 miles away.

We’re having a ceremony at St Michael's Church: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is generally elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

What happens if it rains?

We need a covered spot, such as a gazebo, marquee or open-sided barn with good ventilation. We plan for rain with you in advance.

How soon do we need to book?

As early as you can, especially for summer weekends. Even if it’s short notice, it is worth asking.

Who clears up?

Our cooking area is packed away and left clean. Table clearing is available with waiting staff.

How long do you need on site?

We get there in good time to set up. The rice itself takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.

What space do you need to cook?

Less than you might think: a level spot clear of fences, hedges and branches, with room for a serving table. If in doubt, send a picture.

Do you cater for children?

Paella is popular with children, especially a mild chicken one. Tell us how many and their ages.
