About our paella party catering in Albany Park
Homes, gardens, clubs and hired venues all work. We are frequently asked to cater leaving dos and retirements and milestone birthdays, serving tapas, vegetable paella and churros.
In Albany Park, a back-garden party is the usual choice, even if the garden is small. A level spot away from fences and trees, plus parking nearby, is all we need. Send a photo of the garden. Timings are planned around your event, so the paella is ready when you want to eat.

Chicken & chorizo paella

Why choose live paella in Albany Park?
A hog roast is great for meat lovers, but harder for vegetarians and vegans. Paella covers everyone with separate pans. Got a budget? Let us know, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. A simple menu can still feel generous.

FAQs for Albany Park
Do you cater in the Kent Downs National Landscape?
Yes, though some venues in protected landscapes have extra rules; ask your venue. We’ll work to whatever the site needs.
We’re having a ceremony at St Lawrence church: can you cater afterwards?
Yes, at a nearby garden, marquee or hall where we can cook. Live cooking normally happens at the reception venue, not the church. Tell us where the reception will be.
Do you cater for children?
Yes. A simple chicken paella goes down well with children. Tell us how many children are coming.
Do you offer halal options?
Yes, we do. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.
Can you provide dessert?
We do. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices, or you can serve your own cake.
How early should we book?
The sooner the better, but it’s always worth asking. We’ll check availability straight away.
Who clears up?
We take our equipment and leave the cooking area tidy. Ask us about table clearing if you need it.
Will it be noisy or smoky?
Less smoke than a barbecue, more smell. Let the neighbours know.

DIY paella versus live catering
Hiring a pan and burner is one option, but you will still need to source ingredients, prep and cook for hours. A caterer handles all of that.
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Organising for someone else?
For larger events, we plan the number of pans and serving points around your timings, so everyone eats promptly. Let us know how long the food break is.
Hosting a party at home? Send a picture of the space and tell us about parking, and we’ll tell you honestly whether live paella will work.

Whatever you’re celebrating in Albany Park, live paella can be the centrepiece. We regularly cater:
- Naming days and christenings
- Family get-togethers
- Summer garden parties
- Neighbourhood celebrations
After a christening at a church like St Lawrence church, a paella lunch is an easy way to feed family and friends.

- How many staff are coming, and for how long
- Plates, cutlery and napkins, or disposables
- Whether VAT is included
Step by step
On the day, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. At midsummer, it is light in Albany Park until about 9:20pm, so a garden party can run well into the evening. In late September it is dark by about 7:05pm; add lights for the evening.
- We check your date and the space.
- You choose your paellas and any extras.
- The burners go on and the sofrito starts.
- In goes the rice, and guests gather.
- It is served hot, and we clear away afterwards.
Before we arrive
- Give us a contact for the day
- Plan cover in case of rain
- Give us your final numbers and diets
