Woodstock is about 7 miles north-east of Witney, in Oxfordshire. We cook right across the region, from Woodstock to Oxford (8 miles away).
If you are marrying at a church near Woodstock, such as Church of St Mary Magdalene, a reception in a garden, marquee or hired venue nearby keeps the day flowing: we can be cooking during the photos, so the meal is ready when you arrive. Put the station on your invitation: Hanborough station is about 2 miles away.

How our wedding paella catering works in Woodstock
Paella suits relaxed, sociable weddings, especially with long tables and outdoor venues. It feels generous and celebratory. We cook evening paella, Spanish desserts and table tapas, and typical bookings are for weddings in a marquee or garden and barn and farm weddings.
Weddings in a place like Woodstock frequently feel personal: a local church, then a marquee in a garden or field. A giant pan on the lawn fits right in. Let us know about access for the van. You will know exactly what’s included before booking: the menu, the staff and any extras.

About the dishes
Paella wedding breakfast
The main event: paellas for every diet, served straight from the pan.
Desserts
Churros with chocolate, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago.
For planners, venues and organisers
If your event is in a public space, such as a park, check what permission you need first. We can send whatever the landowner or council needs from us.
If you’re organising for someone else, such as a wedding planner, an office manager or a festival organiser, we are happy to deal with you and the venue directly. It keeps things simple.
How the day works
The cooking is part of the entertainment. We start with the sofrito, add the stock and saffron, then spread the rice across the pan and leave it alone to cook. For a summer wedding in Woodstock, the sun sets at about 9:30pm in late June and about 7:10pm in late September, which means evening paella is normally served in daylight in June and July. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.
- Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
- We plan your menu course by course.
- We agree timings with you and your venue.
- On the day, we cook and serve each course.
- We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.
Preparing for the day
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Have a level space ready for the pans
- Name one person we can ask on the day

Why choose live paella in Woodstock?
Plated wedding meals need a kitchen and more staff. Live paella needs a level, ventilated spot and the venue’s permission, and feels more relaxed. The price depends on your guest numbers, the menu and how many courses you choose, along with staff, extras and travel. Every event gets its own quote.

DIY paella versus live catering
For a small group, cooking yourself can work well. For larger numbers, mixed diets or a wedding, a caterer takes the pressure off, and keeps vegetarian and allergy-safe pans separate.
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather be with your guests, we’ll do the cooking.
Your questions about wedding paella catering in Woodstock
Is Woodstock close to London?
About 59 miles from central London, and we cover it as standard.
Can you cater a reception after a service at Church of St Mary Magdalene?
Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.
Can you do sangria?
We can make sangria, and provide bar staff to serve drinks you supply.
Is paella smart enough for a wedding?
Served well, it feels generous and special: canapés, tapas, crockery and table service.
Can you bring crockery?
If you need them, yes. Crockery, cutlery and napkins, or good-quality disposables are available.
Do you cook it at the event?
Yes. We arrive with everything we need and cook on the day, serving it hot from the pan.
Can we add tapas or canapés?
Yes, and it is a popular combination. Tapas first, paella to follow.
What about pudding?
Yes. Churros, crema catalana and tarta de Santiago are popular choices.
