  • Whether VAT is included

How to compare caterers

Prices and what affects them

We will give you a clear, itemised quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • The number of people
  • Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
  • Waiting and bar staff
  • Plates, cutlery and glassware

Compared with a plated meal, live paella is often good value, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. Ask us for a quote.

What to tell us

When you contact us, it helps to tell us:

  • A picture of the cooking space, if it is a garden or field
  • Where the event is
  • Your date and when you want to eat
  • Any dietary needs and allergies

The more you tell us, the more accurate the quote: venue, timings, courses and extras. When you are ready, send us your details through our quote form.

Planning the cooking area

We will agree the cooking spot with you before the day. A good spot ticks these boxes:

  • An open-sided catering gazebo next to the marquee
  • Somewhere close to park and unload
  • Open air or a well-ventilated covered spot

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise.

What we offer

  • Canapé tapas
  • Paella wedding breakfast
  • Dessert
  • Table tapas
  • Evening paella
  • Sangria & bar staff

How the day works

When we arrive, we set up our cooking area, light the burners and start the sofrito. The rice goes in about 20 minutes before serving, so we time everything to your schedule. In Wolvercote, midsummer sunset is about 9:25pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:10pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is normally served in daylight in high summer. For autumn and winter weddings, when it is dark by about 3:55pm in December, plan lighting for the cooking area.

  1. Send us your wedding date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. We agree timings with you and your venue.
  4. On the day, we cook and serve each course.
  5. We pack down, and staff stay as agreed.

How to prepare

  • Arrange parking near the cooking spot
  • Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
  • Get the venue’s permission for cooking
