Wedding paella catering in The Valley, cooked live

We can do the whole day or just one part: canapés, a tapas starter, a paella wedding breakfast, evening food and dessert. We cook a paella wedding breakfast, table tapas and evening paella, and typical bookings are for wedding receptions after a small ceremony and informal wedding breakfasts.

Rural weddings around The Valley have a magic of their own, and paella cooking in the open air adds to it. Plan access and cover in case of rain. All the cooking equipment comes with us, and we clear our cooking area away afterwards.

  • Outdoor space or a ventilated gazebo
  • Clearance from fences, hedges, branches and anything flammable
  • Level ground for the pans and burners

If you’re unsure, send a picture of the space and we will say what we think before you book.

The Valley: your questions answered

How far is The Valley from London?

About 42 miles from central London, and well within our area.

Can you cook in Spuckles and Kennelling Woods?

Only if the landowner, usually the council, allows it. Ask them first, and we will send any information they need.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Of course. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans.

Can you do gluten-free paella?

We can, if you tell us in advance. Rice is naturally gluten-free, but stock and some ingredients may not be, so we cook a gluten-free paella separately.

Do you work with our venue?

Yes. We are happy to talk to your venue about access, timings and requirements.

Do you cater in The Valley?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, and The Valley is within our area and the rest of Kent. For a quote, use our quote form.

What does wedding paella catering cost?

The price depends on numbers, menu, courses, staff and travel. Tell us about your event and we will send a quote.

Do you do canapés and evening food too?

We can cater as much or as little of the day as you like, from the drinks reception to the evening.

What affects the price in The Valley

The same guest numbers can mean different prices, because of:

  • Starters, canapés and desserts
  • Whether you need crockery
  • Guest numbers
  • The length of service

Extras such as tapas, desserts, sangria, staff and crockery are priced separately, so you only pay for what you want.

What we need to know

To check availability and price, we need:

  • Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
  • The venue or postcode
  • Expected numbers
  • What the venue already provides

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.

Live paella or other catering?

A hog roast is popular at weddings, but harder for vegetarian, vegan and halal guests. Paella covers them with separate pans. There is no one-size-fits-all price for live paella. A simple paella lunch costs less than a wedding with canapés, three paellas and waiting staff. We itemise everything in your quote.

Why The Valley hosts choose us

  • Add tapas, canapés and Spanish desserts
  • Hot food served quickly from the pan
  • Cooking your guests will gather round to watch
  • Catering across Kent, including The Valley

What’s in the pans

Paella wedding breakfast

Paellas for every guest, served straight from the pan.

Desserts

Churros with chocolate, crema catalana or tarta de Santiago.

Planning for every diet

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. Our advice:

  • Share your running order, including speeches
  • Let us know about meals for your band or photographer
  • Ask whether your venue allows outside caterers
  • Put us in touch with your venue

Evening guests can be served from fresh pans later on, timed for after the first dance.

Finish with Spanish desserts or your cake.

The process

We get there well before serving, set up the cooking area and get the stock going. Guests typically gather round to watch while it cooks. Golden-hour photos in The Valley at midsummer come around 9:15pm, which helps us time evening food around your photos. In late May, sunset is about 8:45pm, and in late September about 7:00pm.

  1. Tell us your date, venue and numbers.
  2. Together we plan each course.
  3. Timings are agreed with your venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve each course.
  5. We clear our area; staff stay as booked.
