Paella catering across ME13
Everything is cooked from scratch on site, beginning with a sofrito of onion, garlic, peppers and tomato, followed by stock, saffron and rice. We cook vegan paella, paella Valenciana and mixed paella, and we’re often booked for community events and fairs and retirement and leaving parties.
The paella is cooked in giant, shallow pans over gas burners. We need a level, ventilated spot, which we agree with you beforehand.
- Get in touch with the basics: when, where and how many.
- We come back with paellas to suit your guests, plus any extras.
- Closer to the day, we confirm timings and the cooking spot.
- On the day we cook live, timed around your event.
- We serve, then leave our area tidy.
Cost
Larger events normally cost less per head, since the set-up is much the same either way. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

What’s near Faversham
You’ll find us cooking near Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Mechanics Arms and Ethelbert Road Primary School and the streets around them. Other local landmarks include Oare Meadow (1.1 miles north) and Church of St Mary Magdalene (less than half a mile north-west). Faversham has its own railway station: Faversham station, handy for guests travelling by train. Well-known places in the area include Newnham Castle (4.2 miles south-west).
Paella catering in ME13: local guide
From Faversham, Davington and Preston to 38 villages and hamlets, events across ME13 range from town-centre venues to gardens and fields, and live paella suits every kind of setting. Town events mean planning parking; village events mean planning access. 13 of the places we cover in ME13 are within about 6 miles of the sea, where we always plan shelter from the wind.
Faversham: Thinking of a picnic-style party in Oare Meadow? Public parks normally need permission from the council or landowner for cooking, so check first. School fairs and fundraisers, for a school such as Ethelbert Road Primary School, can book us as a food stall. Around midsummer it stays light in Faversham until about 9:15pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:00pm, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:50pm, so winter events need lighting where we cook.
Planners, venues and businesses
If you’re organising for someone else, whether you’re a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It saves passing messages back and forth.
If you’re booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we will explain how it works. We’re happy to liaise with facilities on access and timings.
Is live paella right for you?
Cold buffets are easy but forgettable, and the food sits out. Paella is cooked in front of your guests and served hot.
Questions to ask before you book
- What the price includes, item by item
- When final numbers are due
- The venue requirements
- Whether crockery, cutlery and napkins are included
Can I cook paella for a crowd myself?
If you do cook yourself, test the pan and burner together beforehand, keep the stock hot, and leave the rice alone once it’s in. Keep a clear zone around the burner.
Plenty of people try cooking paella for their own party. The usual problems are a pan too big for the burner, too much rice and stirring once the rice is in. If you’d rather enjoy the party, let us cook.
Dietary needs and planning tips
Few dishes handle mixed diets as well as paella, because every paella has its own pan. Here are a few tips for planning:
- Collect dietary needs with your RSVPs
- Pick a mix of paellas to cover every diet
- Let us know if anyone has coeliac disease
- Ensure each pan is labelled
If you’ve booked staff, they’ll serve, clear and help keep things moving, so you can relax.
Sangria and bar staff can be added to serve drinks you provide.
Prices and what affects them
The same guest numbers can mean different prices, depending on:
- Chicken, vegetable or premium seafood
- The number of people
- Parking and unloading
- Extra courses such as canapés, tapas and dessert
Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, as there’s no kitchen to hire and fewer staff to pay. We’ll send you a quote.
What we need to know
We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:
- The date and time of the event
- A picture of where we’d cook
- Roughly how many adults and children
- Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and allergy numbers
Most quotes start with a few simple details: the date, where the event is, how many guests and any dietary needs. You can send us your details through our quote form.
FAQs for ME13
Is paella a full meal?
It can be. With bread and salad, paella is a complete main.
Should we have more than one paella?
Two or three is usual: a meat or mixed paella, a seafood paella and a vegetable or vegan one. We will help you decide the split.
When should we book?
As soon as you have a date. Popular dates book up first, so it pays to ask early.
Can you feed a lot of people?
It is ideal. Big pans feed plenty of people, and service from the pan is quick.
What about pudding?
We can add a dessert. Let us know if you’d like one when you ask for a quote.
Can you cook halal paella?
Yes, we do. We use halal chicken and leave out pork and alcohol, in its own pan.
Do you cater for vegetarian guests?
Yes, and meat eaters often go back for seconds. They have their own pans, stock and spoons.
