Mixed paella
A mix of chicken and seafood.
About our paella catering in Brogdale
You can keep it simple or build a full menu: paella on its own, or with canapés, table tapas, desserts and sangria. We’ll suggest what suits your event. Popular choices include paella Valenciana, chicken and chorizo paella and black rice, and typical bookings are for staff parties and work lunches and wedding breakfasts and evening food.
In a hamlet or village like Brogdale, your own garden or a neighbour’s field can make a wonderful venue. Gates, verges and soft ground are worth mentioning when you enquire. Every pan is cooked in front of your guests, so the food is hot, fresh and part of the occasion.
What else we do in Brogdale
Your questions about paella catering in Brogdale
Is Brogdale too small for live paella?
No, we cook in small places too. Tell us about lanes, gates and parking.
Is Brogdale close to London?
Roughly 44 miles from the centre of London.
Can you serve tapas as well?
Yes. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, served while the paella cooks.
How much space do you need?
A level space for the pans, burners and a serving table, in the open air or a ventilated covered area, and the venue’s permission for live cooking.
Do you provide plates and cutlery?
Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we will quote for the rest.
When should we book?
Early, particularly for summer Saturdays. Even if it is short notice, it is worth asking.
What happens if it rains?
We need a covered spot, like a gazebo or open-sided marquee. We’ll agree a wet-weather plan with you.
What areas do you cover?
London and South East England: Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the Isle of Wight.
Planning the cooking area
Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but a few things matter:
- Flat, firm ground for the cooking area
- Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
- Good ventilation: outdoors, or an open-sided cover
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly.

For planners, venues and organisers
For big numbers, we plan pans and serving points to keep queues short, so guests are fed quickly. Tell us how long you have for food.
If you are booking for a business, tell us how you’d like to handle the booking and payment, and we’ll talk you through the process. We can work with your facilities team on access and timings.
Planning for every diet
Paella is one of the easiest dishes for mixed diets, because each paella is cooked in its own pan. A few tips:
- Make sure most guests can sit to eat
- Put allergy details in writing
- Tell us what else is being served
- Tell us how many children are coming
A short rest after cooking helps, which is when we typically call guests over.
Add canapé tapas with the drinks or table tapas as a starter as the rice cooks.
What affects the price in Brogdale
These are the factors that matter most:
- Distance and access to the venue
- Plates, cutlery and glassware
- Timings and hours
- Starters, canapés and desserts
If you have a budget in mind, tell us, and we’ll suggest a menu to match. Even a simple menu can be a feast.
Details that help
The more we know about your event, the better we can plan. Please include:
- Whether the venue has crockery or staff
- The courses you’d like
- The address or venue name
- The date and rough timings
Each quote is tailored to your event. Give us your date and numbers, and we’ll confirm whether we’re available that day.
Cook it yourself or book a caterer?
Weighing up DIY against a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.
You can hire equipment and do it yourself, but there’s shopping, prep and hours of cooking. We take care of all of it.
How the day works
Expect a friendly, organised team. We agree arrival and serving times in advance, set up our cooking area, and cook and serve without fuss. In Brogdale, the sun sets at about 9:15pm in late June and about 7:00pm in late September, so summer evening events are normally served in daylight. For winter events, when it’s dark by about 3:50pm, we need lighting at the cooking spot.
- First, you send us your date, venue, numbers and diets.
- We put together a menu and a clear quote.
- We arrive early, set up the cooking area and start the stock.
- Your guests watch the paella cook, with any tapas served first.
- We serve from the pan, then clear our cooking area away.
How to prepare
- Have a gazebo or cover ready if rain is likely
- Leave space around the cooking area
- Send us final numbers and dietary needs in good time
Ask for a quote
It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will send a clear, itemised quote.
