Wedding paella catering for your wedding in London Fields

Saffron and garlic in the air has everyone looking forward to dinner. For weddings in a marquee or garden and weddings with lots of dietary needs, we’ll put together a menu of a paella wedding breakfast, evening paella and table tapas for your guests.

London weddings around London Fields frequently mean a ceremony at a church or register office, then a reception at a hired venue or a family garden. Live paella works well at both, as long as there’s a ventilated spot to cook. Plan parking and loading early. Everything is cooked from scratch at your wedding, not reheated, and served the moment it’s ready.

What happens on the day

From set-up to serving, we look after the food, so you’re free to enjoy your wedding. Any tapas or canapés are served first as the rice is cooking. In London Fields, midsummer sunset is about 9:20pm, and by late September it’s nearer 7:05pm, so an evening paella for evening guests is usually served in daylight in high summer. Later in the year, plan lighting: in December it’s dark by about 3:55pm.

  1. Share your date, venue, numbers and plans for the day.
  2. Together we plan each course and confirm the price.
  3. We fit our timings around your speeches, photos and venue.
  4. We cook live on the day and serve every course on cue.
  5. Afterwards we clear our area; any staff you’ve booked stay as planned.

What we need at the venue

Most gardens and venues can host live paella, but there are a few things to check:

  • Agreement from the venue or landowner to cook on site
  • Space well away from trees, fences and gazebo walls
  • A cooking spot outside the marquee, not inside it

London Fields is in London, within the Ultra Low Emission Zone, and parking can be tight: let us know about permits, bays or off-street parking.

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and we will advise before you book.

London Fields questions

We’re having a ceremony at Church of St Michael and All Angels: can you cater afterwards?

Yes, at a garden, marquee or venue nearby with a suitable spot to cook. Churches rarely have space for live cooking, so the meal is typically elsewhere. Tell us where the reception will be.

Which station should guests use for London Fields?

London Fields station, in London Fields itself.

Can you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. We cook vegetarian and vegan paellas in their own pans, alongside the meat and seafood pans.

Can you provide dessert?

We can add a dessert. Tell us what you have in mind when you ask for a quote.

How many paellas should we have?

Most events have two or three: meat or mixed, seafood, and vegetable or vegan. We will suggest a split based on your guests.

Can we add tapas or canapés?

Of course. Canapés with drinks or tapas for the tables, while the rice is cooking.

When do you arrive?

We arrive well before serving to set up and start the stock. Once the rice goes in, it takes about 20 minutes, timed around your event.

Can you bring crockery?

Yes, if you need them. Let us know what you have, and we’ll quote for the rest.

How we price wedding paella catering

Two events with the same number of guests can cost different amounts, because of:

  • How many staff you need
  • Crockery and cutlery, or disposables
  • Parking and unloading
  • Your choice of paellas

Live paella often compares well with a sit-down meal, because it needs no kitchen and fewer staff. We’ll send you a quote.

We can quote more accurately with a few details. Here’s what to include:

  • Where the event is
